Ghost showed he is a real good pickup for the Canes scoring on a PP against his old team Coyotes. He can really move the puck, strong slap shot and good passes. Canes had their best PP performance, 3 goals on 4 PPs. Beat the trade decimated Yotes 6-1 (Coyotes aiming to rebuild trading players for 8 more draft picks). Aho scored 2 goals.
This team is better than last seasons even without Pacy, Burns pickup last year is one of the reasons, he’s a D beast. Marty Necas is another reason he’s having a breakout year in scoring and overall performance. Raanta excellent in net.

 

Player Safety is still a joke, didn’t suspend Senators Watson after this this intentional dirty head hit. Watson clearly jumped up for the head hit.

That Pens loss was so predictable. it's almost like it is scripted. Have a nice lead, play pretty well all game. Blow it at the end and lose in OT. Especially Lee and Nelson both scoring, who absolutely shred the Pens, every time we play lol. Losing to another Metro team is pretty much expected at this point.

 

Suits me just fine. I'd rather see the Sens and Isles in the playoffs anyway.

As an LA Fan they definitely did not make a mistake. The Kings had the worst GAA but a top 3 Shots Against Average. We needed a massive upgrade on goalie. Copley was playing really well and had a better win % and a better GAA than Quick. We picked up a goalie that has a better GAA and Save % one of the worst teams in the league. Plus we got a massive upgrade on Defense with a big bodied Defensman who is also left handed. Quick also expressed that he was not going to retire after this year, so Rob Blake decided that unloading an aging goalie and getting a young good goalie is a better route to take.

VGK can be a better system for Quickie at this point. He is playing lights out. Maybe the trade lite that fire in him again? Maybe It is the system that VGK has that suits him better? I am not sure but I don't think it was a mistake. They did him dirty but its business. I love Quickie but he played like ass with the Kings this year, the stats show it. I wouldn't VGK front office has common sense. They are always in a shit cap situation, they do their players dirty all the time. I will say they are trying their hardest to win a cup, but don't act like the VGK haven't done players dirty and take some massive L's on trades and their in a shit cap situation.

Korpisalo 2023 Stats w/CBJ GAA 3.17 Save % .913

CBJ is the worst team in the league and the Kings have a top 5 defense. Quick had worse number with a top 5 defense than Korpi had with the worst team in the league. The Kings really turned their season around when they sent Peterson down and picked up Copley. Copley provided a consistent goal tender in the net for the Kings. Blake saw that has a need to fill hopefully long time with Korpi
