It took me like a month to realize I had cupholders on the back of the center console in the 4runner

Thinking about getting a little masochistic and learning front end.
I used to build sites in the late 90s/early 00s. Which is kind of a bummer because I started to get away from it as HTML was getting interesting and CSS was becoming popular. Messed around a little bit a few times since, but not seriously.
Plus it'd be nice to not use a site builder when I have everything ready for a new portfolio site or even standalone project sites. Make something more interesting.
I don't go out on nights and weekends much anyway haha...figured I could load learning into those hours. I always enjoyed it back then, might be worth a go.

If you really want to torture yourself React is the hot stuff now. I spent a lil time coming up to speed at the end of the year because we started writing a react video player lmao

I noticed a few of the online courses I've looked at have React thrown in with HTML/CSS/JS/Bootstrap. (Some just have Node and Angular as well)
Don't want to overwhelm myself right from jump haha

A modern build in one of these would be awesome. I'm still rocking the old Antec 300.

I took it apart years ago and painted the inside of the case white and it looked amazing with LED mobo

I've upgraded to the 100/100 fiber plan. Everyone rolls their eyes at me for not paying for 1000/1000

I wanted one of those for my current build. My university disposed of ~20 of them during my student internship from the art department. Normally we could have anything if it wasn’t asset tagged and we didn’t intend to resell it. Warehouse guy wouldn’t budge on those.

Now my daily driver PC is in a ‘98 Dell Dimension case. Not pretty but it was my first computer as a kid. Like a sleeper vehicle kind of deal.

I guess it depends on what you consider front end, because "front end" has kinda changed over the years. Back in the day front end meant JS, CSS and HTML being that your structure of your site was done using html/css and JS was used strictly to add functionality. (forms, navigation, animation, etc) Now front end is far more than all that. Front end is knowing gulp, build scripts, and just being extremely good at data manipulation with JS. All the major frameworks (react, angular and vue) are built using JS. Also now the majority of so many things are built with HTML/JS/CSS and use a wrapper like electron or other things to port it over to other devices. The majority of the work I do is on "Digital Sales Aids" on iPads for a CRM called Veeva. All they are are mini websites uploaded into vault but they act like glorified power points. If you really want to learn front end, learn js/es6 and all the other frameworks will follow. As far as pursuing front end for dedicated DOM and CSS manipulation, those jobs are getting harder and harder to find. I know this because it's the part I enjoy the most but I need to know/do SO MUCH other shit in order to get to fuck with pushing the boundaries of CSS/setting up global styles maybe 2x a year.
