Now that's some good fun stuff. I think Bam Bam is going to realize that clean racing is faster racing. He looked freaking good at Indy.

Soooo pissed at CNBC, where I watch the races. They air late sunday night so I watch mondays after work. Well I got 3 hours of news instead of racing...And they only air the races once. I've taken to twitter and FB and talked a ton of shit but, does CNBC really care? I hate to do another sub but I guess if I want to see my racing I'll have to.

The coverage on Peacock is great, both live and replay. It’s worth the couple bucks a month subscription.

JS7 might be my favorite racer of all time cause he only knew how to ride WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. :bikewhoops:
I grew up racing BMX in SoCal with Jeremy McGrath. So McGrath is my number 2 in Supercross even
though he has the most wins. But I just loved how Stewart would just rip up tracks and hit sections no other
riders could see or even try. :bikewhoops::bikewhoops:

Carmichael and Stewart were both known for running wide open around the track and introducing the extreme physical fitness aspect. Shut a lot of riders down that way and forever changed the sport. Oh, and the Bubba scrub over jumps to maximize traction and acceleration. :bikewhoops:

I had Jeremy McGrath call me an asshole once. That's my claim to fame.

They were very similar in some ways but different in others. JS for sure was almost always the first guy to try something huge/crazy. And of course he mastered the scrub technique and changed the game, in that way. But he doesn't have enough titles to reflect how good he was, in my opinion. And that is because he didn't know how to back it down at the right time and manage a Championship.

That's where RC was a master. He was every bit as fast as JS, but he knew when to not push. And he has the titles to show for it. Also, his fitness was how he changed the game.

Stewart unfortunately was a win it or bin it racer. He crashed himself out of many championships.

Did you cut him off in a race? First time we raced in BMX race against each other I had the lead and lost my front wheel in the 2nd turn. I hit the deck and he ran me over. We become friends after that. Maybe I should have called him an asshole too.:rofl:

Nah, it was at Laguna Seca when they had a supermoto race (like with slicks on a dirtbike) and he was signing autographs with Jeff Ward and I said thanks thanks Troy Lee and he jumped up, all 5 feet of him, and goes don't you know who this is you asshole! And everybody laughed and I almost felt bad.

...ya validated my point...thank you. Carmichael and McGrath had better racecraft but all 3 could ride the wheels off their machines. Eli has shit so many points/championships by not knowing how to manage a gap in previous years.

HA! I got to meet Jeremy McGrath many years ago. I think around 2002-2003 when he was on the aluminum frame CR250R. Anyway, I got his autograph on his book and he raced a small hole in the wall race in central CA. I remember he seemed grumpy when I met him. Carmichael kind of stole his thunder and I think he carries that.:D :angrygirl:

Travis Pastrana and Seth Enslow were two of my favorite fan meets. Travis was such a happy go lucky dude. I got him to sign my helmet, my front number plate and No Fear poster where he was doing a backflip. No Fear made some sick stuff back in the day.

Seth seemed very easy going despite the Metal Mulisha persona. He signed my helmet, his movie poster and his movie that was on VHS at the time. Years later I heard he got screwed by some hell bent DA after an off duty cop pulled out in front of him on a motorcycle and died. It wasn't Seth's fault! I think he moved to Australia not long after that. I hope he's doing good these days and I wish him well. Most recent video I've seen...

Resale on an RMZ is still going to be brutal, even with this recent spike in interest. That's what makes them a tough buy. Still a good bike but people need to keep in mind that the resale on them is bad, unlike a KTM, Yam or Honda.
