I swear the next time I drop her off at school and I see some other kid coughing up a storm I'm gonna personally quarantine the little fucker

I drop her off at the front, and go out to park.

It's our second non-stress test. Had our first non-stress test this last Friday.

 

Dude, she's been sick non-stop!

 

The water breaking stories are always fun to hear about, ours wasn't anything crazy but we were just watching a movie one night like usual...movie ended and we both get up off the couch and stretch. Suddenly Rebecca turns to me and goes "I think I just peed myself.....wait............uh oh"


life was never the same after that lol

 

seriously it's been at least once a month since Fall started last year, I'm telling you nursery school is a breeding ground cause parents still drop their sick kids off because they have no sense of decency

 

I appreciate that response, lots to digest! Yeah I still shamelessly have that, “back in the day,” mindset a bit. I knew things had changed from casually paying attention over the years but digging in, it’s much more robust, as far as how that landscape has changed. It’s cool though. A lot more innocent when we just called it all, “web design,” and most of the focus was basically on the design/aesthetics and simple function. Hell, there wasn’t even much overwhelming concern about mobile functionality at that point. Because I’ve always been on the design/visual side of things that’s where I lean so that and things like UX/UI come more naturally, a lot of that can be non-tech related too. But I like the idea of being able to build the structure of a site and work with the guts etc. so I can go from concept/design to up and running, which is basically why I used the phrase, “front end,” I guess. Maybe used it a little loosely haha. I’m still interested in giving it a go though, best way to find out if I'm really interested in digging into it. Also now makes sense why a lot of the courses contain much more than the ol HTML/CSS/JS.

How do you like working in that field overall though? Just out of curiosity.

Stephanie hates it when parents will drop off kids that are sick, only to find out later they (or the parents) tested positive for COVID not long after

 

Yeah that's ultra fucked, the school has a policy that's grounds for dismissal from the program (knowingly exposing others to covid) but I think that should extend out toward exposing your sick kid to others in general. I get that it sucks, you have to arrange for expensive baby sitting or miss work or whatever, but then you're fucking up the lives of everyone else that kid comes into contact with at school.
