Thats just having young ones in public man, that's how it's gonna be for a while until they're not so touchy feely and become more independent and keep to themselves. Usually around middle school. The elementary schoolers during this time of year are perpetually sick

Yeah that's the other thing, I literally turned away for a second at the park a few weeks ago and when I looked back Sofia had her mouth on the edge of the water fountain trying to drink the standing water

not to mention at that age (3) they hardly understand the concept of mouth covering when coughing, not touching things you know are filthy, etc. Just have to keep reinforcing it until it sticks and deal with the repercussions in the mean time

Yeah, I'm glad Stephanie being a teacher has built up a really good immune system...being around kids 4-12. I'm glad I have a crazy strong immune system although it could be due to half the unnamed shit my dad received in the military and the same shit I got when I was in.

But you're right; I'm gonna have a booger face up close and personal for the next 13 years or so

Or exorcist style pooping....tbh though that hasn't really happened with us thank the gods, but poop incidents can and do happen. Like when they start walking and fall down all the time with a fully loaded diaper

think PBJ in a ziplock getting squished in your fist

I've heard the blowout can be pretty catastrophic with some kiddos too, where it just shoots straight up their back

Dude that sucks for the poor kid too, being sick and forced to go out in the fucking snow all day lol. Damn

I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure that's not how you recover from an illness

It's the same with regular school too, parents don't want to take care of them unless they're on deaths door or something so anything short of throwing up or lethargy so bad they can't move you best bet they're coming to class.

yeah...hell I see that at work too, people don't want to take time off or don't want to get behind so they force themselves to come in. Just goes in line with our backwards way of thinking that health and well-being should take a back seat to being productive all the time.

But yeah with kids its even worse, at least adults will actively try not to spread it around

If the kid is really bad I have no problem ruining a parents vacation.
