Wow. What’s the release? How tall are the spillway gates?

I know it. I grew up there. Use to go up to the dam all the time. Use to live on the river bluff above the feather River, across from the park they built a little while ago. When I lived there it was just a bike path.

Inflow is just shy of 74,000 cfs right now. Outflow is 15,571 cfs. 20230314_161752.jpg

@nDub there are 8 radial gates that are 33ft tall and 17ft wide. I'm unsure of the weight, but they are somewhere between 20-30 tons each

Wild. I’ve been watching the inflow forecast.

    Unfathomable inflows.

Happy to see the spillway is in good working order!

Any chance you guys recently did some work in northern San Benito County? We recently had to use some divers because a dewatered pipeline (inspection and rehab project) had a valve removed when the adjacent canal overtopped, flooding into our dewatered pipe. The divers were used to install a temporary plug so we could dewater the pipe, again, and continue our project. Figured there can't be too many semi-local diver teams that do this type of work.

We have had guys leave where I'm at and join yuba water agency but I don't have contact with any of them. I bet Bullards is getting pretty full though.

Outflows should be increased tomorrow from 25,000 to 35,000 cfs so more pictures to come!

The winter (and now spring) storms are on my mind and living rent free. I'm somewhere between 65 and 70 storm damage sites so far this year.

edit: As a point of reference, I think I had maybe 10 sites total for 2021 and 2022.
