@BandanaBerg @dumontrider why even buy a 2WD Tacoma without long travel? aren't they pretty much useless like a neutered dog no matter how hard it tries its never cumming after it leaves the shelter. Why even get side steps when you could just get sliders and protect yourself from rogue shopping carts while your mallcrawling? Also I heard that bilstein 5100s are trash you might as well get spacer lift. How much back spacing and lift do I need to fit 33s? Will it need the cab shop mount? Will it it need Add-a-Leaf as well? Will I need an alignment after putting on UCAs? Will a 33" tire fit in the stock spare tire location? If I remove my secondary charcoal filter will I get more power or should I just get a cold air intake. Are Satoshi grills worth the effort and money? Asking for a friend?

I just drove my prerunner to the dump and left the keys in the ignition after reading this. God, why didn’t I get 4wd when I live in a place where it will never snow, there’s no real off-roading and trucks have zero utility outside of climbing up rocks

Seriously though, I can count the number of times I’ve wished for 4WD on one hand. And airing down the tires and turning on the traction control resolved it each time. If I still lived in the PNW, I’d never have gotten a prerunner. But, living where I live, 4WD is almost totally unnecessary. Haven’t lifted it yet, but always considering it.

Same. Have had my Tacoma for 10 years now. Have encountered 0 situations where I would have needed 4wd. Don't really understand the "it's not a real truck if it's not 4wd" crowd.

literally had someone ask me this morning if a prerunner is good enough for where we live, as the guy was interested in a Tacoma. Once again, told him I’ve never really been stuck, and certainly nothing that airing down the tires couldn’t fix.

He told me he was still waiting to use the 4WD on his Jeep

No worries bud, my wheel and tire guy showed me them and yes they where affordable which I enjoy I mean who doesn't plus I got 5 so I could mount the spare. I don't use any spacers and the -12 offset is just the right amount for me plus the are 17x9 so plenty tread

Niiice, I always get confused at what offset I should be looking at, do you have spacers in the rear or is that only from the offset?

Negitive 12 will poke out about an inch but with the max tracs giving .75 the fronts are going to stick out about 1.75 so rear is 1" out from fender and front is about 1.75" out from fender.
