Full body cab swap

I'm interested in doing a potential cab swap. But i've been looking for resources on procurring the parts and i've fallen short. How does one actually acquire a full body to perform a swap? Specifically looking for a 2021 access cab but the general knowledge of where to get one would be nice.

Most people usually do a frame swap

 

Maybe he rolled his so frame could be good but not so much the body

 

My brother in law did a full body swap on his 85 Hilux with a 93 model. He is not a mechanic but had it done in a couple days.
He found the 93 recently junked with a bad frame and super clean body. His 85 was rusted to pieces but the frame was amazingly solid.
He unbolted both trucks from the frames and with a host and couple buddies (and beer) they raised the bodies and pushed the frames in and out.
He is still driving the 93 with 270K on Ohio roads. Its finally starting to rust now.
Newer trucks wont be easier. I worked at a Ford dealership and it was common to lift the F150 body's off the frame for engine work there. They made it easier by blocking the wheels before the truck body was lifted. It would just fall back down in place.

 

it might be easier to source the truck configured the way you want it, and sell off your current truck,,,, if it's otherwise in top shape anways.

 

Perhaps his intent is to make a regular cab 8’ bed FrankenYota.

 

Yeahhhh, I think this is the most important question before anyone starts finding parts. Someone may can speak into the whole correct VIN issue too depending on the intent of the vehicle.
