So as the title says I welded the sliders pretty much right on the pinch weld. I believe these are my options to fix this:

    1. Cut the sliders off and reweld them
    2. Install a 1" body lift
    3. Notch the pinch weld around the tube

I'm probably going with #3 but I can't fit a grinder there. How do I lift the cab a bit?

If you want to raise the cab, unbolt the body mount bushings and disconnect the steering shaft from the flexible u-joint at the steering rack and raise the cab with a floor jack. Place wooden blocks between the cab and the frame to support it. You should be able to get about 4-5 inches clearance like that. Seems like a lot of work to me though. If you really need option 3, I'd try snipping it at an angle with snips from below and bending it backward with a hammer/punch or something.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along

Air Hammer and Panel Cutter quick and easy ! No air sharp chisel by hand.

Trying to lift the cab could very well be real exciting depending where the truck lives.

Option #1. If you use the sliders (and frame) they will flex when you drop the truck on a rock.

Ooh, yeah you're not gonna want to mess with lifting that cab if you don't have to. Alternately, might be a good time to redo the bushings and get your knuckles busted. Break out the ATF.

How much clearance do you have at the bottom of the doors when you open them? If it's enough, I would massage (BFH) those pinch welds flat and roll on.

The pinch welds will self clear after one off road trip.

Quick question, what is the brand of the rock sliders? Who installed them?

Take it to the local mall. Run tight figure 8’s and then jump a few curbs.

Do you still have room under the leg where you welded to the frame? I’m assuming you did 1.75” if so, I would cut and move down. On the ones I build and install I usually leave between .75” to 1” of a gap between the upper part of the main to the pinch weld. I know it sucks and kind of a hassle but that vibration contact will drive you insane, cheers dude!

Dremel pin router cutting bit... cut pinch weld on both sides of effected areas and hammer back area in-between?

there definitely is space to cut and move it down a bit. But I also welded some gussets so re welding it will be tricky. I'm just gonna notch and paint the pinch weld black, should blend and look like it's not even there after.
