Yep. Goes on the hose and I use it for the entire process. No new spots after drying. Just sone old spots from before I used it.

 

I did nothing to the Tacoma.. but some a*****e keyed it. Two doors, both bedsides, tailgate and even the fuel cap.

Carbon and sediment filters will only remove impurities (dirt, chlorine, bacteria) from the water. A Deionized Resin tank will absorb hard minerals like calcium and magnesium and prevent water spots. Ideally, you'd have an inline sediment filter then carbon filter then the DI tank. One of these carbon hose filters could be used inline before the DI tank, but they wouldn't last long. Many DI tank sizes and manufacturers are available. The resin lifespan is limited to the water quality entering the tank. The harder the water the shorter the resin lifespan. I use a DI Rinse Pro 100.

hmmm - interesting- I have same size tires and 2.5 lift and no issues. Maybe it’s because I have KO2s and they may run a little smaller.

I wondered about this: whether the bumper or the hitch is the most likely point to hit. Or does it depend on the terrain? I got my truck in October so I haven't been off road (and I'm not going to do anything crazy), but if I can avoid learning the hard way on the bumper that would be great.
