It's the law in most places that you can't have hi beams and fogs on at the same time on public roads

Fog lights are situated low to cast light under fog so that the reflection off the fog doesn’t interfere with the driver’s visibility whereas high beams do the opposite.

If I use my fog lights for "fog" I would probably have them yellow.

I bypassed the fogs and highs by having my foglights run my ditch lights and I have my fogs on my switch pro so they dont go off unless I want them to, however becareful though because as others have said... if police pop you for it, its a fine or fix it ticket. Then again I almost never run my highs anymore after putting a HID retro fit in and having my LP9s on the bumper :D

Here's another thing I can't figure out, why do we blank out our license plates on photos on this forum or for that matter any place you see covering license plates.. what are we afraid of?

Still all in my head… but I’m keeping the chrome bumper!
My high beams must be broken, when I have them on people flash me all the time… please help, should I part it out or is it totaled?

Fogs turn off with high beams because that is the law.

What I did for off road use. i have DD SSc3 Pro fogs and SSc3 Pro 4k driving pattern aux high beams behind the grill at headlight level. I have the aux high beams on a 3 way switch so that I can use them independently of my high beams. Therefore low beams, fogs and aux lights can be on at the same time.

The High/off/Low switch is for the aux high beams, the A/off/B switch allows me to run my DD SSc2 floods in my rear bumper any time or just as aux back up lights

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automotive_lighting#Front_fog_lamps

"In most countries, weather conditions rarely necessitate the use of front fog lights and there is no legal requirement for them, so their primary purpose is frequently cosmetic"

"An SAE study has shown that in the United States, more people inappropriately use their fog lights in dry weather than use them properly in poor weather.[20] Because of this, use of the fog lights when visibility is not seriously reduced is often prohibited in most jurisdictions; for example, in New South Wales, Australia:"

This is what it looks like down the road. Stop sign is 200 yards out.

High beams are for high speed and you shouldn't be looking directly in front of the truck when driving at high speed, so no need for fog lights. TBQH, I have never found fog lights useful in any way.
