    Ya that’s pretty damn good power. TRX make like 550 wheel but weigh a lot more

    Speaking of MORE POWER… Just a random thought here, and bear with me.

    Instead of a traditional mechanical supercharger or exhaust airflow based turbo(s), what about an electronic-based booster? Let’s just pretend it’s an electric leaf blower for now for simplicity sake of understanding.

    Ignore the difficulties in programming/controlling the boost, but combine a static programming on the boost curve with a custom ECU tune… You’d just need to have the capacity in the electrical system to run that, but maybe the Off Road 130Amp alternator + AGM is enough.

    You could boost from idle and make the “curve” as erratic as you wanted.

    I was recently reading about electric driven turbos. They are already in use in a couple vehicles. Reduced plumbing requirements, instant spool up and you just size them right to not blow your engine up. Sounds like a real good alternative that may become very common in the future. Wiring and electrical demands/possible separate control units would be the biggest hurdles.

    There definitely would be, but we would also lose like 2-3 mpg so if you are getting 14 you would instantly drop to 12-11 mpg just like that. And any time you hit the frijoles pedal for some spirited driving you would lose a ton of fuel and it would show.

    So the trade off for more power would be more consumption.

    I've not tuned any on E85 yet, but I suspect there would be a pretty healthy boost in power throughout the powerband, especially in the low-midrange.

    Ya but e85 is cheaper by a lot compared to premium in my area

    Issue with e85 is the lack of consistency in the percentage of ethanol concentration. I would like to run e85 to try it but with a standalone with a content sensor so it can change the map automatically versus having to manually flash the ECU from gas to e85 as I do have a e85 pump near me but if I go on road trips e85 is hard to find. Now if you're going to run like ignite fuel for your e85 or e100 then I would say go for it.

    Yea that’s true as well. Realistically from other platforms I’ve had anything e70 to e85 is gonna be similar but yes legally as long as it’s above e51 they can mark it as e85 which is where the issues come

    I believe they would on a stock truck with just the Maggy kit fitted.

    Smaller pulleys and other supporting mods would def. need injectors

    Apparently if you put on a 1.87" pulley on a 1GR with cams and water methanol injection it's pretty close to those numbers and a lot less work. ;)

    A guy I follow on the Insta made 400tq and 390hp to the wheels on E85 at an afr of 14 and a 2.3" pulley.

    Most widebands are assuming gasoline is used (14.7 stoich). Switching to an alternative fuel with a different stoich ratio means what you see on the gauge is not accurate. The wideband is actually measuring lambda from the sensor, but converting the display to gasoline AFR.

    So the actual lambda read if the gauge indicated 14.0 is about 0.960 lambda or about 9.37:1 AFR for E85. Still pretty damn lean.
