What else will I need to hook up subs?

    I got two GOOD jl audio 10" subs and an amp, I HOPEFULLY will make a box here pretty soon for them that fits in the back of my access cab, I got a good alpine head unit......... What else am I missing? I want good quality shiz, lol......... I figure some wires? just let me know, I got the subs and amp from my sister lol, so I just want good sound without spendin to much

    Sounds like your set. Make the box, and get wires. Your going to need power, ground, remote, and RCA's. Sounds like you are the man with the plan. :)

    Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.
    Copper is copper, as far as power and speaker wire is concerned. The biggest mistake people make is not getting an adequate ground. I am a fan of the bolt that attaches the front or rear seat to the chassis. Just make sure that you scrape all the paint away so that you get a clean secure grounding point (and make it as close to the amp as you can).

    Also, make sure you put a fuse on the power wire no farther than 18" from the battery terminal.

    I haven't used Wal-mart stuff in years (ethical reasons rather than quality issues). The place that I get all my wires is www.knukonceptz.com Quick service and all the stuff I have ordered was primo quality.

    so walmart maybe????? ehhh.... my amp has a 25 fuse in the back of it..... the 12v wire still needs one in it too?????? and do i run the 12v wire strait to the battery terminal?

    Yes you do run the power wire directly to the battery and yes it does need a fuse on it. If you check the FAQ THREAD HERE you will find more info on the proper wire size/fusing etc.

    i bought my wire at walmart. i'm not running a monster system, but i've also had no issues with the wire.
