I have the M18 inflator and I have a 400p. I picked it up as part of a buy more, save more glitch a while back. It's great when you don't want to screw with running the cords to/from the battery. It is fine for my 265/75/16s from 15-20psi up to 35. Batteries seem to last a while but I usually use a 5.0 or higher. I haven't tried it with a small battery. It is perfect for car tires. I have not tried it on the 37s on my TJ as I use the 400p and my homebrew powertank with that.

My one gripe is that the chuck is the screw-on type and it is impossible to release it without letting some pressure out. I have been thinking about replacing it with one of the sliding-style chucks but I haven't done so yet.

 

I got a quick release chuck for mine. Threaded into the existing chuck. Not this exact one but one like it.

 

Well I called Milwaukee first thing this morning. Had to create another (new) Service Order for returning this one (referencing the original). I asked if they could ship me a new one once I shipped the damaged one, which I just did. The woman I spoke with said she'd have to get permission from her Supervisor.

 

I keep thinking about the inflator - mostly b/c I don't like running my large air compressor, the noise and dragging the hose all around my garage when I need to check/top off my tires.

From the torture test video, seems like it would suit my needs - so - great, thanks guys [sarcasm] - now I want this too!

My M-12 hammer drill and impact driver set showed up. Charged the batteries and put everything away in the bag. Zipped almost closed, material tore and zipper jammed. Got it open and returned to HD. They didn’t have exact replacement so they gave me an upgraded Husky bag. Better built and lots of pockets. Hopefully this is the only casualty.

Decided to upgrade my very first Milwaukee cordless, a gen2 impact driver that's 8 yrs old. It still works fine though so I'll be keeping it around. Holy crap I didn't expect this gen4 to be that much difference in power, so much faster too! Feels heavier & bulkier than the gen2 but the actual weight isn't much different says my scale. The gen4 is fatter but shorter though.

Decided to get a boot for it too. Never knew they made em for impact drivers, I just assumed they only had em for automotive related tools. Turns out they even had a boot for the gen2 but oh well.




One of the reasons that made me upgrade. Love the tri-leds & had to have it. They should be much more useful for me on the impact driver than my impact guns.



Never thought I would be buying a brushed tool these days and one so old, M12 Polisher. Makita's has brushless & even the HF Hercules. MW hasn't updated this one but whatever I guess it doesn't really matter, works great for my needs. I was just disappointed that a tool so old still cost me more than what I paid for the newest brushless impact driver. I searched for a while too for a good price before finally buying this.

 

Scored a killer deal on the 8 1/4 fuel table saw. $249 CAD or about $180 USD. I don’t have any m18 batteries yet but it was too good of a deal to pass up

 

What are you using the polisher for?

 

On my truck I've used it for touch ups on narrow areas & near edges like the pillars, around door handles & mouldings. My driver's door had some issues, I still need to spend more time on it, missed some spots.

I've also used it on the headlights. I normally don't polish my HLs though, they're cheap so I just replace em. Right now my HLs are at the stage where the UV coating has peeled off but the lenses haven't yellowed yet. At this stage they'll get hazy after so many months. I quickly went over them with the M12 polisher & they're looking nice without much effort. But without recoating them they'll get dull again soon. But again I don't bother & just replace them when they start to turn yellow. Already have a new set waiting to go in, probably after this summer.

The M12 polisher also has a higher speed for sanding & scotchbrite discs. But I already have the M12 RA die grinder for that. I actually tried using the RA die grinder for polishing but as I suspected the RPMs are too fast & it doesn't have enough torque at slower speeds using the variable trigger.

 

I used mine with scotchbrite disks to clean up the wifes stainless steel pans. Then used a buffing disk and got them to a mirror finish. Worked pretty good but it took forever.

 

Now that they're nice and clean make sure to stock up on Barkeepers Friend. Regular cleaning with that will prevent you from ever having to break out the big guns again. It's a miracle worker and somehow is both aggressive/abrasive and gentle at the same time. Heck, you could even use the polisher with scotchbrite AND the Barkeepers. I bet it would have cut your time down quite a bit.

 

Damn thats a great deal, I dont need it but for that price I would defiantly buy one.

 

That is a very good idea, I may have to try this on my pots/pans.

 

Status was still showing as "Repair" so I called to get an update. Rep told me a replacement will be sent, but they're out of stock. WTF Milwaukee?? I explained this saw is my livelihood. Asked if they could send me a gift card to pick one up at HD. Nada Nada Nada.

Replacement #2 supposed to be sent late next week. Ugh.

Asked for a free tool and or battery for the inconvenience this delay has caused....denied.

I'm pissed.

 

go buy one and return the one that comes next week?

 

I checked. None in stock near me.

I do have my 10", but I don't want to haul that thing up 3 flights of stairs.

I didn't tell them that I have a backup.

 

Update. I took an hour + drive to a big industrial tool place that sells all the major brands, even Festool. They're also a Milwaukee repair facility. They had all three of the sliding miter saws set up next to each other (7 1/2, 10 & 12). The 7 1/2 had the same grinding/rough sliding issue as the one that was sent to me. The 10 and 12 were buttery smooth. I talked to the manager and he agreed it wasn't right. He's assuming there's a bad batch out there. He pulled it from the floor and was going to contact Milwaukee in the morning. I'm hoping the replacement (#2) I get is from a different batch. I'm not dealing with this BS again.
