First time truck owner...Ditched the Subie!

Saying hi from Northern Arizona. Sold my 2018 Crosstrek and picked up this 2023 TRD Offroad on Saturday and I'm LOVING IT! She's all bare-bones right now, but I'm excited to stalk the forums and get ideas from all of you!

 

Greetings from a Phoenix-Valley member, though probably less experienced than you. Having driven my OR over some "primitive roads" (Arizona does label some donkey paths as "primitive roads") I know the truck is far more capable then I am, at least for now.

Get his book ... "Arizona Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails" ... from any reputable off-road shop. Lists 100 trails, from "green" to "red". $35. Just ordered the book, thanks for the recommendation! As far as my offroad experience in the crosstrek, I definitely tested its limited on roads like bloody basin from i-17 to carefree, and Schnebly Hill farther north. Been all over the jeep trails around Powell including up to Alstrom Point and down to the lake shore!

Can't wait to see what trouble I can get into with the tacoma!

Welcome to TW! Nice truck and scenery. I'd say your TRD Off-Road is a very capable bare bones truck from the factory.

 

Bloody Basin (all the way to Sheep Bridge), Schnebly are in there. Alstrom Point is probably just outside the area covered by the north Arizona area.

Thank you! Bloody basin was phenomenal. Can't wait to make it to sheep bridge. I decided it was best to turn the subie around at Tangle Creek. I could have kept going, but it wasn't worth the risk lol

Congrats on picking up your Tacoma, that is a great looking truck!

Looks like a great view you have there in Northern Arizona, we appreciate the photos!

 

Maybe we will happen to run into each other on Bloody Basin once northern Arizona resumes being northern Arizona again instead of Minnesota. I will be the one with the white 4x4 Off-road.

I certainly hope so! I was just there three weeks ago and it was bone dry. That far south has been pretty spared from the horrible weather we've got slightly north of there lol

 

@trust-me-im-lying or maybe a deal on some KO3's if they ever get released! Always love more pics, especially the before and after.
