My '05 stock plastic flares are faded and the clear coat is chipping away so I am in the market for aftermarket replacements.

I am considering Bushwacker against RDJ and can't decide. Was looking to hear from people with experience with these brands.

The big reason I am considering RDJ over Bushwacker is that they come pre coated with rhino lining.

    Any insight is appreciated!!

Beside paint, breakage or cosmetics, I would be interested in your OEM factory fender flares

Where are you located? I'll trade you my pocket flares for your stock.

I'm in SoCal. Could you send me pics? Also curious why are the OEM ones sought after of aftermarket?

I’m on TW today because of problems with my bushwackers. I’ve had them for about 4 years and I’ll give a few reasons why I would never buy them again.
    1. Rigid plastic, which has now broken during relatively mild off-road adventures
    2. Harder to mount and less secure. The bolts you see are pure cosmetics and don’t connect to the truck. It’s connected with standard body screws along the inner lip of the wheel well. Not confidence inspiring.
    3. Seals are crap and quickly fold down inside or pull off from outside.
    4. Noise. Due to weak connection and friction with body, these make squeaky noises over bumps, potholes, anything.

Now I’m looking at no flare options or another replacement.

Wow! This is some great info! I was actually considering metal ones but I can't find anything online for a second gen. Have you seen anything?

Also considering no flares but don't know what to do with all the holes in the body if I wen that route.

Any aftermarket ones without the fake screw holes? Not sure why that look is so popular.
