    I (admittedly) haven't searched for test yet, but do either of you have links to info on the differences these make? I'm genuinely curious.

    SO after about 2000 miles on the newest tune 9.0 with Sport throttle I think I should chime in. 2022 TRD OR DBC 4X4
    Do I like the Tune - Yes
    Would I recommend - Yes , read below:

    Throttle Preference - On Sport, great driving and VERY responsive on road. Off-road, it is too responsive. The dip in is so slight that hitting any bumps moves my foot, ever so slightly pressing the pedal and it becomes a bit jerky.

    ECT - have not used since going from Normal to Sport! Counter intuitive I think as it essentially deletes the function, Sport on or off. Maybe I will try this tomorrow around town and on freeway and see any difference in my commute. (should be same?)

    MPG - Hard to judge with less than 12 months on the motor. Fuel, Outside Temps and less than ideal Conditions lately affect this too much to tell. Averaging 18 at best Mixed Freeway/City (Stock gear and tire/wheel)

    Shifting - it still down shifts on the highway, it does hold gears longer but dont expect to it climb hills at 75 in 6th. Still wants 4th to be happy at 3k rpm. 4.88 Gears are incoming to fix this correctly. The shifting is butter smooth though, so while it does shift a lot less it does it flawlessly and not hard or sloppy in the least

    Other add ons - Custom exhaust 2.5" through and HPS intake tube for reference.

    I think I will hit up TWTaco and see if I can change back to Normal or Normal-Lite and Sport ECT for a comparison. ( I had normal on the Pro TQ tune) I think will be necessary once swapped out to 4.88 gearing, since the dip it would be more pronounced IMO.
    I do have a TB Spacer incoming in 3 days to test; will run a tank through, compare and then see about a reflash to Normal. Its a custom machined 1" thick piece so We shall see how that helps. If it gets "More Responsive" as it claims, its gonna drive just thinking of the throttle!
    That being said, it really does change the truck and how it accelerates the most. Try it, if you dont like it, go back to stock. $.02

    I'm running lite . I've tried all the settings and lite seems to have the all around best behavior, my opinion.

    I’ve had Lite for some time. I’ve tried all three (I flashed myself). Make sure to change your “vote” on top of the page…

    Another vote for lite from someone that has ran tunes all the way back to beta OV Tunes in late ‘17 …not that there were options back then, but I’ve ran a lot of tunes.

    I tried them all and so far Sport on 87 yields the best fuel economy for me. 91 feels great but I tend to use more throttle than needed causing my fuel economy to drop pretty good. Getting 17-18 MPG on 35’s and stock gears with about 400# of added weight.

    @PapaRee, @TWTaco

    I have a 2015 Tacoma with a 6speed manual and have been considering a tune to help it out a bit but I don't see many 2nd gen Tacomas with a tune. My truck is heavily modified (not engine or exhaust) and am wondering what a tune would do to make it more driveable? Is the rev hang removed totally or can it just be reduced? Among many other mods (including a snorkel), I have 33" tires and the truck has been re-geared to help with the larger tires and additional weight. I'm not looking for optimal performance and only run 87 fuel. Please let me know what improvements I can expect from one of your tunes.

    Every 2nd Gen I’ve tuned the customers we’re happy. The one MT was so happy afterwards nothing would do until I drove his truck to see for myself the improvement (I hadn’t drove a MT Tacoma until then).
