I get made fun of all the time because my truck is mostly street and I haven’t take it off road yet since I did it so this is only a street take.

It’s a bit hard to explain but you can tell there is less friction between the leafs when driving. My neighborhood road isn’t rough but you can feel the road. After the road was pretty smooth. They are a lot more floaty feeling. Not the best description I know.

I’m going to spend a weekend once the truck is wrapped up and do it. Shouldn’t take more than a day to get it done. I’m intrigued by this lol

Let me know if you notice a difference. Are you thinking to use the graphite paint too? I think that helped too.

@81Trekker who made those decals for you?I’ve been debating on them for a while and finally found a good example.

fyi - they had to 3D scan his truck to create those to actually fit the curves of the fenders without the lines distorting etc. So…don’t expect a $99 DIY kit

I’m undecided on the slip plate. I feel like anything will just wear off in a very short time. I know mine wore a ton of paint off in just a few months. So if anything it may be a temporary improvement. they are still gonna chew dirt.

You were spot on. Looks like it’s hitting in at least 2 places rear most clamps for sure. Forgot to look at the front ones. It must hitting it hard. It was not hitting when suspension was cycled. I can flip the bolts but might need diff valving in the bump. Would more compression help as well? Assuming it needs more. I was already thinking I need more.

No matter what you do it’s all gonna wear off. When we raced the McPherson 7s truck the springs needed a complete over haul every race. It also had custom billet main leaves because the standard ones wouldn’t even survive one race without breaking.

I love leaf springs and they are by far the best value for the money however they definitely have a limit

I was expecting more like 300-400 bucks. Mine won’t curve as much as his, just around the bedside. Figured since it’s vinyl I might have been able to maneuver around the only curve.

But good call. I don’t have a way to scan the truck anyway. So that’s out. Saved me some cash I guess.

Oh yeah I’m sure it’ll wear off. Since they were apart and it’s cheap I figured why not. I’m sure some residual graphite will stay in there. Can’t hurt.

I wouldn’t limit uptravel because the clamps are hitting. I’d see why they are hitting. Are there marks on the bolts? How big was the frame impact? Maybe just bending them back and flipping the bolts around will solve it.

Yah I’m not thinking much but I’m pretty certain I need more compression. She’s a heavy one. Def looks like the bolts at least if not more. The mark is not just on the edge of the frame the rest clamp seems to barely hit but the one I showed earlier got it good.

This is why I just don’t drive my truck ever. Leaf springs are better than every other option if you don’t drive them
