True , but on a player without the puck which is why he was called for interference .

The minor for interference automatically becomes a major / game misconduct if the receiving player is injured .

 

Finishing his check on a player going after a loose puck = interference.

ya but they give you a few seconds after a guy gets rid of the puck to hit him and thats what he did.

 

Interference was called on the play .

 

He chipped it by Chara with about 20 seconds left and got hit at about 19 seconds left. Players are allowed to hit someone without the puck witihin a second of them having the puck. It might have been a little late.

The hit may or may not have been late , I think it was a little late but I'm not the ref.

The facts are , he WAS called for interference . The receiving player WAS injured , so the penalty becomes a major / game misconduct .
There is nothing to argue about here .

When he gets suspended , then we can argue about the number of games .

 

You can't see the refs in the video .

 

That looks like a "we're getting our asses kicked and I am going to take my pound of flesh" penalty...

 

This is definitely a carry over from their last brawl filled game .
