If you would have numbered your list, I would agree with line items, 1,2,3,5,7,10,14 and 15. You should have added line item 16. Texas has the best dam BBQ and Mexican Food

This is Saint Elena Canyon. I wanted to hike into it but it was 90° so I didn’t want to leave my pup in the van for that long.

 

@HoboDave , Nice pics, My Dad took us there some time around 1967-68, for a camping trip with a buddy of his and his son. We took a Donkey ride across the river to Boquillas Mexico. The brought back many bottles of Tequila that they didn't have to declare. Had a place all fixed up in the van to stash about 20 bottles under a platform bed in the Van. I wish that I would have gone back later in life when I was older and could have done more exploring like that canyon you talked about. Most People also don't realize that the Panhandle of Texas has the 2nd largest Canyon in the United States,
Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Like the Advertisements states, "Texas, its a whole other Country". Glad you have a good trip.

 

Yup, I hiked Palo Duro last summer. It was great but it took me months to recover. Getting too old for that stuff
