You gotta enjoy life. As long as you are happy it don’t matter. Regular cabs of any truck are increasingly scarce so it’s a good buy to me.

Did you paint the grill surround? I've got the same truck and my surround is a different color. I want mine matte black like the rest of the trim. This is mine.

No. Mine is dark gray. I would prefer black too.

    Thanks!

That was taken before the addition of the front bumper, winch and rock sliders. I would have to dig for that exact pic because it's from my old phone.
I will grab a couple before and after shots and post.

I just saw the winch and sliders! Man that is insane! How much did these upgrade cost? I assume $2,000-$3,000 altogether?

I think the bumper was $700-something, the sliders were probably $600-something and the winch was less than $500. Then there's skid plates.
I probably shouldn't mention the regearing and lockers... LoL.
You can probably get someone local to build and install sliders for less. These are bolt-ons.

Got er up in the air a smidge! Eibach pro truck struts in front, set at second-to-highest clip (Eibach estimates 1.6” average height) and Amazon AALs (advertised as 1.5-2”). Man what a pain. Had to cut the nut and stud in half on the front strut mount (the one behind the strut closest to the engine bay…ended up drilling into the sides of it and using the corner of a chisel to catch the edge of the drilled hole, then pounding until it turned), stripped the upper ball joint castle nut and decided to replace the UCA on the passenger side, which I learned includes bending the inner fender sheet metal and pulling the bolt from the engine bay, had to cut the new leaf pins and u bolts down to fit the bumpstops and to fit a socket on em. Had to disconnect the CVs from the front hubs to finangle the struts in and out. Probably have 10 hours in the rear, 15-25 in the front as a rough estimate. Would be much faster but I had 4-8 hours into the strut mount nut and I had a couple hours in rear u bolt cutting until I realized a grinder wheel would work better than the sawzall. Also had a few hours into the ball joint and UCA.

It took a TON of improvising and I’ve worked on it 5-6 hours a day since Wednesday if you include runs back and forth to the parts store. But I’m damn proud. And sore.
