I’m about to mount up these same tires/size on 2021 TRD Pro 16” black rims. Im running Falcon sport shocks set at max height and will be adding eibach lift blocks in rear soon. Looking forward to it! Im currently on bfg at ko2’s 265/75/16

I have 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport crew cab, I will be doing 3 inch lift, new UCA, new rear shocks, diff drop, sway bar brackets.
I have a question for those of you that have done a 3 inch lift. Can I run 255/80r17 tires on stock wheels and fingers crossed have no rubbing? I really hope I don't have to cut a new truck
    Thanks

    Check build thread!
Yeah you could run that size stock and not have an issue.

255/80/17 is a 33" tire 10" wide, it can be 30-50lbs depending on sidewall rating. P is the lightest.

In general load rating terms, you are correct. The specific tire spoken to in the posts you quoted does indeed weight in the mid 50# range, and unless things have changed with Falken, are only offered in E load.

You should be good. I have everything you plan on doing except a 2” lift with 8” wide wheels, 0 offset, and 1” spacers, and only rub (very minor) at full lock at a slight decline angle if I have an adult in the passenger seat.

Absolutely love my skinnies. Ran them stock for a bit and now they look even better with lift and new wheels

Are you getting better gas mileage than you did with the 285/75/16’s or is it about the same?

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I had a set of KM pizza cutters. They were an excellent tire and size. I went up to 285s and immediately needed a tune.

The Cooper STT Pros in this size were a very nice choice as well.

these are a sweet tire size for this truck.

gas mileage increased by about 1.5 mpg. Not a major increase but I’ll take it.

I will say that you gotta find the right angle to park your truck and make SURE you stake the poles down.
I did have my awning get yanked when a storm came in…that was fun.

But it was a life saver camping in the sun that week.

it was a killer TW trip!
