Hopefully he compensated. Most gauges you can change the lambda value I believe. My AEM does.

Agreed. 9.7 is damn lean for E. Though E offers better cooling solution in comparison to traditional petrol fuel, it is still only capable of so much if not enough of it is getting introduced into the combustion chamber before things start going boom.

The standard non OBD2 AEM X-Series gauge is capable of lambda display, in order to display it into HPT you have to do some calculations and math for it to display correctly to be able to use it accurately. I only know this because I had to go through the whole thing recently in order to use it for tuning my LT4.

Some info for the E85 topic. Their website states the make a kit for the 06 Tacoma 4.0. I didn't check other years. They have two versions of the kit and if you use the code E85GOLD you can get $300 off the pro kit. One of you fine gentlemen should try it out.

Almost done! Got some TRD Pro oem blacked out LED headlights coming in to replace the chrome accented ones on Sunday. Also need to cut up some new TRD center caps for the 22" forged TRD wheels. OEM forged center caps are basically impossible to find. I'm really debating slapping an X-Runner badge on the back somewhere. Maybe a TRD X-Runner license plate border

Been running it around town this last week, doing a lot of tuning tweaks with @JustDSM. But this will be the first longer trip, really just like 1.5hr each way. I-70 should be a lot more fun now!

It looks like it has its own piggy back controller for it and an app for the user to interface with.

manipulates signal inputs (MAF) into the ecu to achieve fueling corrections to account for the measured ethanol content.

Question for the knowledge base here -

Recently, I've noticed (heard) every once in a while, my exhaust pipe will touch my skidplate. This happens only under certain loads (usually with a trailer) and while in reverse.

My truck has about 200K miles on it. Could it be time to replace the motor mounts? Could they have weakened/softened (or however they eventually fail)?

I've the exhaust and skip plates since 20K miles (7 years), and the exhaust and skid plate are still solid. I suppose I should the exhaust hanger bushing-thingys as well.

definitely check the motor mounts (but also the hanger bushings as those are easy). I cracked my upper oil pan with worn out motor mounts.. now I'm running solid mounts.

Is something like this “safe” to run?

to me, stuff that fakes signals or alters stuff going to the ECU always seems sketchy. But I don’t know enough about tuning EFI to really know.

mounts could be going out, they are really weak on the 1gr. So either replace or upgrade to poly ones would be my suggestion.

I don’t know if anyone else makes solid mounts but I’ve been running these for > 5 years and no issues. There was some initial vibration but once broken in I don’t even notice any difference or got used to it. (All motor mounts break in a little when new)
