I did the opposite of every other person on here.... I put a sport front valance on my offroad!

Little story for why I put it on. The trd pro gets 3 mpg less (highway) than the offroad and sport, the only difference between the pro and the rest is ride height and a slightly wider stance due to wheel offset. So, assuming its due to airflow hitting the face of the tire and that the offroad and sport are optimized at their ride heights, a pro should get a mpg gain from the front valance as it directs air away from the the front tires. I have a 2.5 inch lift (trd pro with eibach springs) and a 33 inch tire, so I exposed about 3 inches more of tire to the airflow restrictions.

But also I like how it looks and I dont really offroad short of frozen lakes and boat ramps.

Yep, the other day it was 40 degrees, today it's 11 degrees. MN weather is as bipolar as it gets.

Those of us in CO might argue that point :) . But I will easily concede the colder and darker winter to you and our Canadian friends.

I already had the garage door opener button. I bought this thing primarily so I can move the garage door button up and make room for an LED light bar button.

Maybe a piece of inner tube on the fasteners would dampen the rattle if it doesn’t covey a lot of heat?

That’s what I used on my tailgate to complement the bed liner. My tailgates see more abuse than any bed ever sees.. fits in using the upper tailgate screws, just pay attention to where the upper panel seem is when cutting the mat..

I did this also for our little trip last year towing a 5klb TT 8,000 miles, on this trip I averaged over 11mpg towing. Most recent trip towing from Spokane, WA to Bend OR 12.4 mpg.

When not towing and driving for an hour or more I consistently get 24mpg out of town, recent trip Bend, OR to Reno, NV and back again got over 24mpg both ways. Until we settle I'll keep it on.

Nice, yeah we have a trip coming this summer from MN to SD and I will be pulling a 1650bh camper (similar to yours but single axle). Hoping to keep it above 10mpg for most of the trip.

But it makes sense that the part would help on the highways, especially on lifted trucks where we have a larger amount of tire exposed to the front wind.

I had a old BMW long ago, I got the euro mirror delete plates, I gained 3 mpg by just removing my mirrors. I can only imagine what a giant tire does for wind resistance.
Yes its legal to remove your side mirrors in my state. Law says you need to have at least 1 mirror with a unobstructed view of behind you.

Biggest thing with mpg and towing is to get into 5th, I spent a lot of time at 63mph in 5th.

Are you able to keep an eye on temps and torque converter lock up status?

    I highly recommend OBD fusion.

I have a android headunit that can track all those things with a bluetooth obd plug, so I should be good.

I did a little test this evening taking my daughter to tutoring. A stretch of road I normally get 16-17mpg on I was getting 21mpg according to the computer. Will be interesting to run a few tanks through as I have the last 20k miles logged with mpg and fill ups.
