    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
I think he went out of town to buy it. Then discovered the problems when he got home.

Neighbor down the street just put a big ass RTT on their stock plastic roof rack, some mid 2000s Subaru SUV. Something tells me that won't end well

Don't understand why people don't verify these things before they buy. Just extreme cases of naivete I guess, kind of like buying a 1st gen for premium money only to find a rotted framed a week later

I mean, due dilligence is something that should be practiced by all. Sucks that a lot of people don't consider the many risks that come with a used vehicle.

My learned mistake was the '68 Mustang I got that had a cracked shock tower. Remember taking it out often and one day I felt a sort of clunk and the front was a tad lower than usual.

Popped the hood and yep, broken shock tower.

    I was only 21-22?

The rotted frame part blows my mind, I mean you have to be really stupid to miss that.

LMAO my first car I bought completely by myself at 17 had the muffler cut off and I didn't notice until a buddy in the back seat started getting a headache and feeling sick from the fumes leaking up from missing plugs under his feet:laughing::anonymous:

Yeah the first vehicle I bought myself at 18 was a total pos ragged out Dodge Dakota with the 4cyl engine :bananadead: it was a 5spd at least but that thing couldn't get up a neighborhood hill without a running start, literally. Got taken for a ride on it too financially at the shady lot I bought it from. Did trade it in on my first Tacoma though

Previous owner on the same car made their own short throw shifter by just cutting the shifter. I only found that out when I attempted to shift fast from 1st to 2nd and the shift knob pulled off lol. One little set screw was all that held it onto what was left of the shifter

    Ouch

My first was a Cressida; surprised it was a clean title car now that I think about it. Got it while in high-school after first getting my permit and I drove that shit everywhere and then some until I got my Miata.

Yep, pretty much why I yelled at them and didn't go straight down the street. Parents are likely more degenerate than them. I have 7 cameras in the front of my yard capturing everything though. If I have to go to the police, I will.
I was also a little shit in some friend groups, but I was always the one willing to be outspoken about being considerate.

That sounds like a happy story haha. Don't get me started on the no-title SAS 87 Pickup I bought off a tweaker for $500 at 19 yrs old that didn't run and was basically a meth head's Lego project. Dude actually pulled a gun out when my friend and I were there looking at it and said he was gonna shoot birds out of the tree cause they were spying on him, don't ask me why I bought the thing. Sunk a couple grand into it and sold it for a few hundred dollars as a parts rig to some guy on Yotatech just to get rid of the headache, probably would've just given it away if he'd asked

    Oh to be young again

    Oh damn

The Miata I was fortunate to buy because it was from my best friend's parents; they were really supportive and let me stay at their place for like a month or two when I was homeless so I already trusted them.

The Cressida I got from a guy that bought and sold cars (few houses down from me). Was so excited when I got it only to be disappointed when the battery needed replacing shortly after.

I remember convincing myself the "ETC POWER" mode really made a difference

It had Normal, Power, and I think Economy?

Haha when I got the Prerunner I made a post on the Dodge forum I was active on and asked if the ECT button could be a button activated supercharger. Got flamed into oblivion. Good times

"Power" anything buttons related to performance are a great marketing tool to the common car buyer, hell I always make sure to hit the sport mode in my wife's Rav when I drive it, that extra 200 RPM between gear shifts brings out the Dale Earnhardt in me
