Got started on my +2 kit tonight and got one side loosely bolted in. Will do the other side tomorrow, then need to do the hydro bumps, limit straps, and after that just waiting on a couple miscellaneous front end parts. Rocking 2wd until some Rcvs show up later this week.

Got the Meso puddle pods installed. Install wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought and took me about 1.5 hours. I’m curious about others experience with them because of two things:
    1. The extra connector on the harness going into the mirror is NOT a match for the DRL lead of the V5 turn signals I have installed. I didn’t plan on using the DRL but just interesting since they were mentioned as being complimentary items.
    2. My dome light switch has NO control over the puddle lights. No matter which position the dome light switch is, the puddle lights come on whenever I unlock the truck or open the door. This one I’m kinda concerned about because sometimes I may want to unlock the truck without the puddles on. May have to message Meso on that.

I also wonder if it would be possible to power another VLED pod light on the same circuit and attach it to the bottom of the door panel so when the door is opened, there is still light exactly where you’re stepping?

I didn’t bother putting the driver side a pillar or sill molding back on because I’ll be installing the Weboost and running wire for the ARB dual to a dash switch and also running wiring to the overhead panel to add a future switch for a front e-locker. Figure better to just get that all done while it’s apart because the KTJO a pillar with grab handle is a bit finicky to get on and off.

Illumination under the door is a good idea. I did this with my access cab doors.

Added a center console tray. Simple but very useful.

You can add a vled light to the harness. Use a Y spiller and add. Or just spare wire and taps.

the dome light never controlled the puddles. That’s why there is a switch option also.

the V5 splitter for the drl. I’m not sure if this was an exact match for the 2 pin connector. Either way can spice to the wires together. I had the limited edition versions before the V5 came out and that’s what I did.

My tailgate lock jumped the hooky thing post. Put it back on. Shouldn't there be some kind of circlip or nut clip for this?

I think there is a nut similar to the nut that holds the TRD pro garnish. I installed one when I first got my truck, I forget lol

IMG_7270.jpg Swapped in the H9 headlights in my wife’s 2019 DCSB. Discovered that the Sylvania “BASIC” brand H9 sold at Walmart (Canada) is German-made Osram. $12.97 CDN, which is “the loose change in my pocket” in US$.

I put two Philips H9 in my truck recently, (at nearly double the price) so we’ll get to do a comparison on longevity this year. I think I may pick up a couple more of the cheap ones as spares for the woods.

(update: the photo is of the old H11 stored in the new Walmart packaging)
