You going to trade your truck for an LC, or outright buy an LC first?

I liked the rear heater in mine actually. Seemed to heat up the cabin better than the front heater.

I'm thinking about selling it first (maybe selling the sliders separate), then shopping for a LC. I'm prepared to fly out to Colorado or something depending on what comes up. We were planning to go to Colorado at the end of August.

It gets colder where you're at than it does here for sure. I'll never need it or use it. Plus less shit to leak if I get rid of it.

The question is whether to fix the knock sensors and/or oil leak(s) before trying to sell.

    I would.

Then pull off the sliders (never include pics in your sale ad with the sliders on) and ask for the same amount.

Don't make any mention of said sliders to the buyer cause most times they'll want to negotiate to get you to throw them in free.

There's nothing wrong with a person asking for those extras really, especially if it's done respectfully and in a way that implies you could make use of said parts.

I know when I went with a member here to inspect a vehicle he was purchasing I was asking about things replaced as well such as the starter and anything else he may have had.

No they're for an extracab. I still have regcab in my name from when I had my old 98 single cab.

I ended up throwing in those frame plates with the axles this morning. I was gonna ask $100 for them but at this point it's addition by subtraction for me. I was never gonna use em. Walked away with $1260 cash, which I thought was not too shabby.

Shrockworks went out of business recently, so I wonder if their sliders are more sought after now.

They'll be an easy sell cause

    1. Extended cabs are the most common

    2. They're bolt-on

The fact that the company shut down (and kept a bunch of people's money) wouldn't make them worth any more.

At least I haven't made a thread complaining about them costing me 1 mpg and blaming Toyota engineers.

3rd Gen owners with 1st Gen truck budget

Least that's how a buddy told me. He said "make shit for 2nd/3rd Genners, not 1st Genners"

    Why?

1st Genners are either done right (and do it themselves), and the rest are just CHEAP AS FUCK.

3rd Genners got car payments so at least you can expect them to pay as required and 2nd Genners own their trucks outright.

    Very true.

A 2nd Genner would ask for a CMC, or welding on some sliders.

A 3rd Genner would want MOLLE panels behind the seats and on the ceiling :bananadead:
