Sounds like it all went smoothly . And if you have no need for the spacer kit, feel free to send it back and I'll refund you the purchase price.

Does this still mount the same with the Off-grid dual battery split system?

Is this (picture below) the one?

If so, it should work, you may just have to bias the passenger side battery inward a little, and maybe rotate or change the battery terminal. Here's a photo of the installation:

A Generous offer (great customer care). But for ten bucks,.... extracting the postage ;-) ... I'll toss those VERY HIGH QUALITY FASTENERS into my bolt collection . Something will come up, and they will be JUST THE RIGHT bolts for the job! (If they are in short supply for the needs of others, I will send them back gladly!)

Sounds good, you never know when you might need a couple of grade 10.9 screws, so I'd do the same :).

I added these to my 1st gen years ago. I need to do this on my new 3rd gen.

Does it matter which side, driver or passenger side if you do the single strut option? All of the pictures on the website only show driver side, and I think I’d want to install it in the passenger side instead. Just wondering and planning for possible interference on the driver side if I add an auxiliary fuse block and mounting bracket.

Most folks mount the single strut on the driver side because they have CAIs that interfere with the passenger side, but it works equally well on either side.

I placed my order on Sat and promptly received an order confirmation. I received a shipping notice and tracker on Sunday. Great CS.

Spyker hood strut kit came in yesterday and I got them installed this evening. I set them at 6" higher than the prop rod and love the extra clearance. I'm 5'7", truck has 1.5" lift plus 31.6" tires and I can reach the top edge of the hood on my tippy toes. I'm a very happy customer. I really like how these are two stage struts and get slow at the top of the stroke.

I'll echo the slow rise. I've had mine for years and opening the hood has never not been fun.

I've have them on my 2021 since new & appreciate being able to have the extra hood clearance when open.
I just wanted to offer a little installation advice: If you have a telescoping paint roller handle handy, you can use it to temporarily prop the hood during installation and be able to set the exact height you want the hood to open to.

Nice work, glad you are happy with the install. Damping at end of travel is really nice, and it takes some work to get it right - you don't want it to be tooooo slow, or to kick in too late in the travel to prevent slamming. I've seen both of these issues before, and it's quite annoying.

Will I have the clearance for the strut when the hood is closed with my catch can installed?

You need about 1" of clearance, I can't tell from the photo if you have that much. Given that the catch can is mounted on standoffs, you can get longer standoffs (or add some washers) and use a longer bolt to attach the catch can.

My thoughts exactly. Looks like there's plenty of room for it to move toward the passenger side.
