Where is everyone getting the best deal right now? These are the prices on Sparks Parts at the moment and the code “ChloeKuo” will add another 5%.

Lowest I've seen is $550 ish, but I haven't checked in while to see the going rate.

    parts.toyota.com

Out of state dealers sometimes offer no sales tax and free shipping. Try Larry H Miller Toyota in Lemon Grove, CA. Also, Norm Reeves Toyota in San Diego.

Anyone have a feel for what the lifespan is on these? Once the LED’s go out they’ll just need to be replaced?

Hard to say. Hopefully a while. I've seen one that was mailed back and replaced by a dealer. Factory warranty would only be 3 year/36k of coverage on these had one bought the truck with them from the factory.

Typical quality LED lifespan is 50,000 hours. I use my headlights 200 hours/yr. So based on my usage the OEM units should be good for 250 years. Aka it is a lifetime part that will outlast your truck.

failure of the chip due to operating hours is rarely the issue with LED's in a vehicle, but rather because the assembly fails. I haven't experienced this in my Tacoma or the OEM LEDs I had in my old Corolla thankfully. However, it always is in the back of my head when I see brake/taillights where one LED in the assembly is no longer working, likely because the connection between the chip and the board has failed.

Ready to buy. This is the best I'm seeing currently. Anywhere else I should look?

    That's about what I paid in 2020.

I know there have been random sales out there but if you're ready now, doesn't look bad.

I think 1100 ish was the floor, over a year ago, prez day sale where headlights were included in the discount. The 1300-1400 range is sort of regular "good" price, about 650 ea plus tax/ship slop. They don't seem to be going down in price which is a small bummer, they are nice headlights and one hopes that the price could eventually be lower with volume increases.

I'd say wait for the next holiday. I think there's one in May? But I'm also impatient and would be tempted to buy so I could have em now.

Does resale get a boost with the leds over halogen. Can I use that as an argument in my mind to purchase lol.

It could to a certain buyer.
If not swap them back out with halogens before selling and sell the LED’s that way. Probably get more $$ back for that

This is the way...virtually no dealer will change what they give you on trade for factory LED vs Halogen. Only a private party sale to someone who knows will it make a difference. Pull them and the adapter harness before you get rid of the truck.

Hoping to do this conversion within a few weeks.

I don't know what series mine are, but I do have the back light tied to the DRLs.
