Ok? Seems like a guy who is buying new cars and flipping them? Maybe he works at a dealership?

It’s the dealership doing it. They don’t pay taxes in the end. Same as used car dealers. They only submit the tax on the difference between msrp and selling price.

When I ordered mine, I was never offered a used one instead (at the same price or higher). I just had to wait until they got one (a year). And they respected the price we agreed on ($1,500 below MSRP). I don’t shop around too much, so I’m not seeing these things where I am. Maybe it’s a different market. I searched Brampton’s dealers inventory and couldn’t find this specific one, but they do have a 2020 4x4 DCSB (offroad?) with 32000km announced at $47K, which is a real joke. Not sure they do sell them at these prices, but hey. In the used market, these are only asking prices. You pay what you feel it’s worth. Personally, I’d buy a new one at that price (even if I’d have to wait).

I agree, this is why I waited 6 months. People are out there though that gotta have a truck right now, some for legitimate reasons. Kijiji is full of 1-4 year old trucks at or above msrp. I know GM increased msrp over the last 3 years by over $20,000 on a custom trail boss (likely other models as well) so naturally the used ones are going for over what was 2019 msrp. Crazy times.

How does it tow? Did you set it up any different than stock to help?

Tows pretty good; no complaints. I am a relatively inexperienced Tower. I ended up going with a bluetooth Curt Echo Mobile brake controller. I never installed any sway bars or anything. When the A-liner is folded down it is a little shorter than the Tacoma's cab. It sometimes starts swaying a little bit at 75+ mph but not to a significant degree, just enough to make me nervous. At 65-70 it is fine and I am content to drive a little slower most of the time. Plenty of Semis to hide behind in the slow lane on I10 ;-) So far the campgrounds/state parks I've been visiting are generally within a 300 mile round-trip distance. I've been very happy with the whole set-up so far, wouldn't hesitate to recommend Taco + Aliner for folks who like smaller pop-ups & want to fit their trailer in a standard garage.

I am sad to report that an Electric Lime Tacoma has fallen. I was hit by a suspected DUI semi trucker driver yesterday on my into work for my shift. Truck did it's job and kept me protected.
