    Let’s beat a dead horse.

Does anyone have direct experience with the OneUp V2 and PNW Loam droppers?

There are lots of comparison reviews on the googles, and I have lots of experience with Oneup. Just curious about the other cheaper kid on the block option, PNW.

May be worth mentioning I am weighing the thought of splurging for a Bike Yoke or Wolf Tooth. Not sure the juice is worth the squeeze though.

Bumping for an answer. My only gripe is everything, and I mean everything I've purchased from OneUp has left me wanting a little more. Always some little issue with their stuff. Pedal seals bind when threading them on the cranks leading to them not spinning as freely as any other pedals.

All their EDC tools have been a little janky, although the EDC lite treated me well, I think the previous ones left such a salty taste in my mouth.

Customer support could never really do much either.

I might be the only one with a Fox transfer dropper to never ever have issues. Coupled with a Wolftooth lever though.

I kind of feel the same way. I’ve got two droppers, one lever, and one set of their bars. The bars are super solid so far. The droppers have been eh but I think for the price they are good enough. The lever is also eh. Like it’s not bad but not great.

The other dropper is setup with a wolf tooth lever and it feels so much better.

Only caveat is I’m an idiot so the issue could very well be setup and maintenance haha

I’ve got no real complaint on the Oneup droppers, or the brand. Love their bars, stems are stems, tools work, my composite flat pedals see limited use, pumps are fantastic, never used their levers (Wolf Tooth/PNW only for me). Customer service has been great in my experience.

Guess my only gripe on the dropper is the lateral play they develop. Could be just the design (similar to PNW) and expected for the price point. The last one I had developed an annoying amount of play super quick. Just has me questioning if they’ll be my next dropper purchase.

No experience with OneUp droppers, but I have 2 Loam droppers and like them a lot.

Used both. Feel the same, likely use the same (type of) internals. Oneup has the lead in my book due to having the most available drop and easy adjustment of height. Been super solid for me, never had a post without some lateral play.
That said, the WT dropper looks excellent.
I say bite the bullet and get and axs dropper. Every single person I know that has one absolutely loves it. Not sure if I can bite that bullet myself though. Would be cool if they came out with a GX dropper a bit less.
Same experience here. No issues with their stuff or customer service. Their responses have actually been way above par for me.

The WT is the leading candidate if I stray from Oneup.

I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t been tempted to jump to AXS. Especially on the Arrival. I could NOT get the dropper routing in a configuration that would allow for smooth lever feel without going to a dropper with less travel than I wanted. But the price of entry for an AXS post is just silly. Maybe that’ll change on 3/21….

    NooB suspension question.
This is the 2nd time (in 4months) I've notice oil coming from the left lowers on on my NEW Rockshox recon. Not quite a drip, but just enough to look like a run in the paint. The forks have Zero miles, just ridden around the driveway while setting them up.
The bike is stored Horizontally, against the wall.

Please tell me this is normal for a new fork.:(

Not normal. Looks like a problem with the air shaft crush washer or the air shaft not seated correctly.

Check the torque on the bolt/Allen first.

Then try a new washer. It is like $1 and could easily be swapped out and bolt re-torqued.

Get the wolf tooth and let me know if it’s worth it haha. I’d like to swap but don’t have a reason unless it’s a bit better. Most of my stuff is i9 or wolf tooth and matchy matchy would be cool haha
I was going to say the same thing. I might have dropped it but I don’t remember my pike having a crush washer when I took it apart last week….

Depends on your location but my buddy that’s new to riding just got a 140mm version(Status). It’s not the best pedaling platform but it will suit him just fine. They are decently spec’d so he won’t be in a rush to upgrade and if we go out of state he won’t be outgunned. I think they are on sale right now for 2250.

My oneup v2 is on it's 2nd air spring, first one lasted one season before it wouldn't stay down. Seems like it's a little more sensitive to being perfectly clean and lubed but when its happy it works well, and they're easy as shit to service.

I have a pretty extensive kill history with droppers at this point.. Killed several reverbs, v1 transfer, ks lev, and the one up. The only one I never had an issue with was the Revive v2.. So that's my recommendation.

My older non loam pnw have always gone flat - but easily fixable- just annoying to me to take seat off and air up and service. New one up v2 is way more responsive than old PNW. I really like the bike yoke stuff Devine has been great.

I think that these things are getting very overpriced for the fact that they really just go up and down… But as I said, earlier convenience of not having to service, it nearly as often is worth it in my book as well as longevity. We’ll have to see how this one goes. Have a brand new divine. I’m waiting to install on the next Rig

    A few.
I’ve got a OneUp 180 on my hard tail been running it since July of ‘21. No complaints it’s probably not the lightest but it was also not the most expensive. Initially I tried a fancy top-o-the line 200 Fox but with the location of the bend in the seat tube of my XL Banshee Paradox I couldn’t get it to seat deep enough, and at full extension my saddle was too tall. My LBS had the One Up and they swapped me out and refunded the difference.

Also rode Slick Rock in Moab today, felt so good to get on a mountain bike! Those punchy climbs will get you back in shape. D9F07A4F-4456-4FE4-A8E7-1A8F01027C5B.jpg

Well that sucks. I appreciate the advise. Tried snuggingnit down some, but didnt really move. Tq specs according to SRAM is 65inch lbs. Pretty sure I exceeded that with my "snugging".
Can't imagine its as easy as flipping the bike, removing the bolt, & replacing the washer?

Good buddy of mine justified it by swapping it between two bikes he runs, said it takes all of 5 minutes to swap between frames. He ended up getting two remotes and a dropper. Has it marked for insertion depth on both frames, and when we swaps all he has to do is turn a bolt. Makes sense, it's about the price of three high-quality droppers.
If they could get the price down to $500, I miiiighhht get one. But $870 is nuts for a dropper (pun intended).

    Silhouette looks like Devinci? Troy?

Thanks for the OneUp insight. I don’t have any experience with any of their stuff, maybe never will now.

I’ve been on a Fox Transfer post for three seasons without issue. I’ve also been running Fox products / suspension for 20 plus years and have always been happy.

Yes, literally that easy. Flip upside down (keep oil from draining out) remove bolt. Visually check air shaft is seated correctly. Replace crush washer. Re-torque. Also make sure the seating surface of the crush washer is basically “flat”. I have seen all sorts of weird stuff like burrs or paint buildup cause an uneven surface and insufficient seal.

If that doesn’t work, you may have to take to a pro because then who knows.
