I feel for ya on the tires. I had Bridgestone Dueler H/T and they were just ok. I had to have them order mine because I was being particular (Nitto TerraGrappler G2). They’re great until about half-life and the traction starts to go in rain. I suspect it’s layered rubber compounds.
Good to hear about your dad. Nice to have them nearby. My dad was semi reluctant about a senior living arrangement until he figured out he really didn’t have to do anything unless he wanted to. The ratio of men/women is close to 1/12 in the 80s, so he got to be a playboy. He was handy and they were willing. LOL.

 

That’s what was on my truck when I bought it, had the same thing happen.

 

Im hoping for the best with the revo, one of the guys at the tire shop has my exact truck and the same tires..he says hes at 40k on them and they still looked darn good to me anyway. He said the 1 down fall was they suck on ice and deep snow.. Ill probly end up picking up another set of bizzak or similar for winter.

 

As for the dodges....its funny, im not really a mopar truck guy but this property came with an 85 ram 4x4.....and they just kept appearing in the yard. In my spare time this summer ill be picking parts off the parts trucks and selling all of them but the crew cab and the w300.

No, Dueller H/T. It looks like side tread is similar, but they changed the meat on those. Would love to know what you think of them after a while. I’m probably 80/20 Highway/Offroad. I see PLENTY torrential rain, mud, and sand so those characteristics are pretty important.

 

I will definitely post about them as time goes on..the only other bridgestones ive had were on a 86 vw gti that was slammed. I dont remember what they were called now but i remember they were good till they werent..seemed like after about 2yrs they started to check and crack, that was with western Oregon weather(lots of rain, otherwise mild). I got these revos at costco tire and the guy said as long as i keep up with rotations, they are guaranteed for 5 yrs or ??k miles...need to look at the warranty papers again..

 

I have Bstone Dueler Revo 3's on my 2500 and they've been good so far. About 12k on them. They aren't cheap but for quality rubber I will pay up.

Still winter, still shoveling. Not much but one of those heavy late Spring snows…

I've never seen anyone else that has any Shappu2000's. My wife and I bought a set of them 20-some years ago because they were on clearance at Walmart for $2.

I think that one came in a bundle I got at a yard sale! It has been in the back of the toolbox ever since.
