884s or 885s???

hey guys i know i keep asking dumb questions, but i just want to do the right thing the first time. anyways i have an 08 access cab and i am about ready to order the lift, but what coils should i get 884's or 885's? Why or why not? thanks again guys, i dont know what i would do without yalol

Really? i would thing those would be too soft? Probably wrong though. My buddy has 881's on a xtra cab and I still wouldn't think it's enough. Thanks for the correction

 

I just looked it up,
They say that the 800's are "Comfort" spring with 1.25"-1.5" of lift, 881's are medium with 1.75" to 2" of lift, and 882's are firm and recommended only for double cabs and access cabs with added weight.

I had just never heard of anyone using the 800's so MY bad

 

It depends on your usage and off-road mods. I'm running 886s and with full armor, a shell, & ARB bumper they required 1" Toytec spacers to maintain even lift.

 

got 881's on my 04 trd double cab......got some lift out of it, and the ride is great.

 

So if I wanted a full 3" lift. I would go with the 882's?

 

would the ride of the replacement be better then the spacer?

 

so would the 884s give me a full 3" of lift?

if you use the 885 rather than 884 on the access cab is it bad? i understand they are used for heavier front ends but what if i wanted to buy the 885 just incase i decided to put on a heavy bumper in the future?

 

you wont have any problems......the front may sit a little higher unless you add an aal .....maybe 2 inch aal to the rear...and the ride may be a bit stiffer.....but it should be ok.
