I've just slashed E rated sidewalls in the past, then debeaded these D rated Mickey's, I can only imagine what would happen with a C. Idk, I'd rather not risk it and personally just don't feel comfortable with a C rated tire. My truck is heavy as shit too. It definitely doesn't help. I'm not here for the ride quality.

I run an E rated on my first gen and have zero complaints on ride. The peace of mind is cool but my decision making process was they were a screamin’ deal on sale at Costco…

Yeah Ive learned to go by the index number or the actual weight rating of the tire. There is a lot of overlap or categories that are nearly the same weight rating but one is a C vs D.

Maybe neither of those things would have happend with a C?

I’m waiting on the guy to send me the Gaia track if anyone is interested in the loop. It was a great trail with some technical sections but nothing too crazy

It really wasn't that bad to be honest. Everything came out and went back in smoothly, except for a couple stuck bolts on the rear leafs, and the F-ing sway bar. It just took a really long time because we wanted to be very careful to do it right.

    No:anonymous:

My dad, who still owns half of my truck, said no. We just relocated it, but it swung a wierd direction and required the taking off the skids and some AC lines to maneuver it back into place:bananadead:

I have been kickin' around the idea of removing the sway bar from my taco, but it would absolutely suck shit if I was ever involved in an accident and insurance denied a claim because it was missing....

@XPOTRPR we didn't make it to the spot you recommended in Joshua Tree, three mornings of waking up to frost was enough camping for both of us this weekend.

I've been running 4 years without it(2.5in lift, 33s, tons of extra weight). I've had some close call accidents and had to swerve out of the way. Yea it rolls a bit more but never enough to feel like it will flip. Just don't rip the wheel when swerving and you'll be fine.

So you avoided accidents sans sway bar, but never were in any if I'm reading that correctly?

my insurance company thought my truck was a whole different make model CAR.

I doubt anyone is crawling under Tacomas looking for sway bars.

    but what do I know?

I gonna guess you've never made a claim with an auto insurance company before.

Made a few claims on the Tacoma unfortunately. Not once did the question anything. Granted single vehicle accidents. Just sent pictures of the damage and fixed everything myself.
