I thought 40k was too much for a fully loaded midsize in this case a Tacoma 10 years ago 4x4 TRD DCLB, or a Baja or Pro. 10 years ago there was no powerseat, moon roof, infotainment screen LED head lights, I think the only vehicles back then with LED were German cars or Italian exotics and that was in the DRL. Not that I need any of that, I do like LED headlights and can live with out them.

4th gen is most likely going to have a rear locker on all 4x4s like Tundra, not a bad thing but it drives up the price. I can't imagine what a Capstone or Pro 4G is going to go for? 70k? 80k? That's before the mark up, and I think people will pay it.

I'm sure the new coil setup will provide a somewhat more comfortable and planted ride. However, its certainly not a reason for me to move into a 4th gen prematurely. Now, if there is a 5 MPG gain, better power curve, better shifting, AND better handling, I might reconsider.

And the only way to get vinyl flooring lol. I'd take a TH with no options and no accessories.

The 4Runner rear axle has way more articulation than a leaf-sprung Tacoma. 4Runners have a tendency to do a front flop when descending trails. They basically articulate right over themselves. In a Tacoma the rear travel is limited so you reach a point where the truck stops leaning, then other factors take over to keep you from flopping.
