Good choice on the dishwasher. I've had them for years and they do an awesome job. The only thing you have to do is knock off the big bits before you put the dishes in. I usually don't rinse anything unless it's a nightmare of stuck on food. I use the Cascade pod detergent and baked on, burned on, it doesn't matter the dishes are clean. (Which is far more than I could say about the Maytag it replaced.) Oh and buy a big bottle of the rinse aid, it needs it.

I bought an additional filter and change it after every wash. I just put the used filter in the top rack so it's clean for the next time.

    couple last adds ~

Got the cast-in styrofoam slab edge insulation in place where the heated slab meets the exterior walls and seismic holddown bolts hanging in correct locations at their embed height . Wailers and wedges go on tomorrow and we pour Thursday

After looking at the Kwikset boxes on my work bench for ~18 months I finally got bored enough to install them. Replaced the 1983 brass hardware with new Venetian Bronze with microban, keyed them to the existing keys. Did the garage & front doors, both of which are located in the foyer so that space looks a lot less dated now. Next up is to replace the landlord special painted hinges with matching Venetian Bronze…. Sometime later….

Well shit, it’s easy to see which tube of Liquid Nails lied about adhering to concrete & rubber! Now to clean it off and use what I used on the other half since it obviously works

Doesn't show it in the pics but yard was very uneven. Had the whole thing tilled and evened out.
