Interesting. How you think it would have gone if it involved another vehicle and it was on the road?

A while back I was sideswiped by some asshole and they fled the scene. The claim I made through insurance was about the equivalent of a root canal without Novocaine.

They ended up paying, but it was a colossal goat fuck. And I didn't even cause the accident!

Made a claim on my 17 f150 when I rolled it avoiding a sxs in my my lane. They had a check in the mail before anyone even came out to look at it.

You made claims for these? Interesting. I guess it depends on the policy but I would’ve guessed that rates would have increased. I took plenty of damage in my truck but never thought to include insurance in the matter.

Never did, hauled it to auction
... they said they were going to look at it there... but they totaled it out just based on the side air bag deploying. Had a check in the mail before the tow truck came

Totaled my 2012 Tacoma some years back and that sat in my driveway till it was hauled off. No sway bar no insurance agent just pictures. I would bet money 8/10 Insurance agents couldn't tell you what a sway bar is. Everyone I know that has totaled a truck has stripped it clean before it got picked up. I didn't even have a shifter in mine...

Wanted it fixed but also needed money at the time of these. So filed claims and did the repairs myself. Rates never went up for either

Ah shit that blows. I’m rollin no sway on stock suspension…definitely a little loose but much smoother on and off road.

I honestly like the ride as it is now with the sway bar. It is leaps and bounds better than the bilstein 5100s I replaced.

Absolutely, the 5100s are like the gateway drug to suspension mods. I’m skipping it all together and going directly to long travel though because I like being in financial distress

Nice. They were on my truck when I got it, but I didn't realize it until about 6 months after owning it. I was actually looking at getting a set of 5100s as an "upgrade" when I decided I should actually pop my head underneath and check out what I had on the truck. Glad I did!

I flopped my taco and totaled it. No sway bar on it. The insurance adjuster came out to inspect the truck because of the mods on it. Never heard anything about the sway bar missing. Even gave me 5k for aftermarket decals.

Awesome! Yeah definitely do the bigger doors. And while youre at it add in atleast one more vehicle spot. You will want the extra space.
