Good to know. I ordered identical replacements from Amazon for under $10. I didn’t want to contact them because I’m impatient lol

I assume the radio is held on via the belt clip on the rear?

I'm looking for something for a handheld Uniden Scanner (no mic)

Here is where I mounted my interior antenna. It is completely out of the way.IMG_6088.jpg

I'm not who you asked, but I've had the weboost for over a year. My two cents:

We only use it on trips, so it's not often. So it's pricey for something not used much. If there is no cell signal to amplify, the weboost won't help. That being said, we have enjoyed having it especially during the long trips we were usually able to pull a signal down despite our cell phones not working. The # of bars displayed during use is NOT an accurate depiction of signal strength. Literally no help if you are standing outside the truck. The internal antenna only throws about 36" and does not seem to penetrate the windows if they are rolled up. The spring on my antenna is rusting and that irritates me. Had I known the finish would not last, I would have sprayed it with Rust Stop before installation.

    YMMV

Lift, wheels, tires, sliders, and skidplates...so far.
Installed the Rough Country Speedometer Calibrator. Can’t believe how easy it was. For once, the how-to videos weren’t lying. There are a number of things that nearly all men habitually and compulsively lie about. For example, how big their penis is, how long they last in the bedroom, how much they can bench, and how long it takes them to do maintenance on their vehicle.

Most You Tube instructional videos drastically underestimate the time needed for any given job. “Hey guys, don’t forget to like and subscribe. Today, we are gonna remove and replace the transmission on a 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Make sure you have about 2 hours set aside for this job.”

Anyhoo, i give two solid thumbs up to the Rough Country Speedometer Calibrator.

Here is the data from my before and after tests. Stock tires were 265/65-16. New tires are 285/70-17.

Before speedometer numbers with the 285/70-17s (speedometer speed = GPS speed):
      • 51=54
      • 55=58
      • 65=68
      • 75=79
      • 85=90

      • After installing the RCSC:
          • 55=54
          • 65=64
          • 75=73
          • 85=84
I would have taken more pics but the job was done so fast that i forgot to take more pics. I left the USB cord sticking out and tucked it behind the kick panel just in case i decide to change the settings in the future but for now, I’m happy as a puppy with two peters.

Given that these still require a cell signal to work, if you really are remote I'd choose a Zoleo of InReach. I have a Zoleo, inexpensive to buy, great service, inexpensive service plans.

I installed the Ring Car Cam last week and removed the FitCamX. I need to a better job centering it on the dash but otherwise I’m happy with the install. Also, it’s super easy to download videos using the Ring app and you can access it when you are parked. One really nice thing about that is it allows me to check on my pup, if he is hanging out in the cab.

Have you all ever used Toyota parts website to get products, and used that quote to show your dealer the price?
My dealer wants $210 for the bed mat for my trd off road.
I went on toyota parts site, and see they have it for $140, but I'd have to go up to Denver to pick it up.
I'd rather not drive up there, and get that price at my dealer.

No kidding. That's great that you got those so quickly, but it's a slap in the face to me as I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and haven't heard a peep about shipping from Cali Raised. WTF is up with that? They didn't waste any time charging my card though..... Did you get them direct?

Yes. PC Toyota matched price for front/rear diff and transfer case fluids and gaskets; seems others have done that successfully with their local dealer as well. Can’t recall if they added shipping costs to their price match though.

It's up to the dealer if they'll price match. Usually Toyota has a code "FREESHIP" for free shipping, but some items are excluded. Also, if you order from an out of state dealer you can usually avoid sales tax. I use Larry H. Miller Toyota in Lemon Grove, CA a lot and sometimes Camelback Toyota Parts. Camelback Toyota parts has their website separate.

I asked the dealer about that too; price from their website vs price for me to walk in and buy it. They told me the website was separate, although when you order it from the website you pick it up from the exact parts desk as if you walk in. Since the website price was better, I got it that way. I could have had it shipped for free but didn't want to wait so I drove 7 miles. BTW, that was at a Denver dealership, Stevinson West, and I ordered the bed mat + the front rail (that they told me they wouldn't sell me at the counter because it didn't fit my truck). Actually, I've had great luck w/ the folks at Stevinson but probably just got the stressed out guy that particular day.
