You can drive on the beach here. My wife and I are trying to make our beach trips easy and comfortable.

Any suggestions on budget racks or awnings or beach improvements/mods?

From what I’ve seen all roof racks are over 399. That price gets you a low quality one too. @FreshMexicanTaco company just came out with one and is offering intro pricing- https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/taco-garage-the-r2-t2-our-humble-attemp-at-a-roof-rack.792951/

I’ve taken my truck on the beach a few times and besides wanting an awning, I’ve not thought I needed much else. We’ve not spent the entire day out there so maybe some other things would be nice. A few pvc pipes for rods was nice and maybe something for some privacy if you need to take a leak or something.

I went ARB BASE rack with the larger ARB awning. It has lighting which was really nice on the beach. Sat at a campfire, and had the lights on so I could find the beer cooler. Not budget though.

I also carry traction boards, snatch straps, and a shovel. Cooler as well.
