Good morning fellow Porchatonians and welcome @Always running Bill!!!

I can relate to the gas attacks @ImpulseRed008 Sue - our two Labs are notorious for conducting chemical warfare.

Pork shoulder came out delicious. Letting it rest makes a huge difference. I rest large cuts in a Styrofoam cooler.

;) If that happens I plan on bribing them with BBQ. :D Stay warm today Carl. It is fricking cold in the DC area today.

I wrapped at 160 degrees yesterday. The bark was set and the color was where I wanted it. Wrapped and placed in the oven at 275 degrees till the shoulder reached 200 degrees. The cooking process from the wrap took close to 3 hours. I placed it in a foil tray when cooking in the oven to contain the rendered fat.

Having the time to cook is one of the better bennies of retirement.

NO, NO, NO, you need to "LOBBY" them with BBQ, bribing them is illegal! Just like a hospital is nonprofit, so they end up with an excess at the end of the year instead of a profit! o_O
Apparently there are different terms for the same things and one is illegal and the other isn't.
Often wondered how that would work out, hand the officer a 50 along with your drivers license, when he asks if you are trying to bribe him say, no sir I'm only lobbying you to not issue a citation, wonder how the judge would see that, think we all know the answer to that!

Well, I was happier than someone else.....
Wasn't falling off the bone, so you could actually eat them off the bone.
And from now on, I'm buying a larger one, and cutting them in half. We don't eat enough.

Finally made it to the tax office on Friday. 9:15 AM appointment, arrived at 9:01 AM, printed number, and called up to the window. I had accidentally signed up for "registration renewal," not "New title transfer." Got punted back to the penalty box. Thankfully cold, nasty morning, the tax office was empty, and there was only a 30-minute wait. I paid my $1000, 6.25% sales tax, and registration. 2% surcharge for using a credit card, but 2% back, so it saved me from attempting to wire a check.

The kids came over yesterday for a Traditional St. Patrick's day dinner: corned beef, cabbage, and carrots.

    The weather was decent today.

The tree crew was out earlier this week, so where I had previously mowed around fallen branches was finally clear. So a little more mowing today.

I got motivated and installed the Redarc Brake Controller. 2200-pound gross trailer, but I like having the option to reach down and tap the brakes if it starts to sway. My back and knees aren't happy with me, but good to have that item crossed off my list.

    Well, it has to be.
    Small area
Lots of nice features for that spot.
    Fold down tables
    Electronic ign igniter.
Whole lower part of the grill slides out to clean the drips.
    Temp gauge
Grill Surface area is real big and we will use only use one burner 90% of the time.
The tank is hidden behind a door.
    It was 50% off.
And the bestest part. In Your Face RED???
You drive by the house and it’s like a beacon on the porch lol.
Not sure if that’s good or bad…

So someone asks where you live, we can say just drive down the street and look for the red grill, can’t miss it.

THANKS Carl, I must have had a senior moment.

Looks great How was the rub?

Mike: Nice pick up. Lots of useful features and fits the space. Happy grilling!

Man they look great!! Job well done. I like ribs that are firmer too.

Good morning. Happy Monday to everyone. :bananadance::dancingbacon::broccoli::jellydance::kona::taco: Off to the gym then we are helping my cousin go through 30 boxes of household goods to get the boxes moved off to storage. About a year and a half ago they had to vacate their condo due to water and smoke damage, lightning strike to the building. Repairs are taking Forever.
