So your under body of engine have oil coated like the picture? Or you remove the plate and oil is on the inside of the plate?

    You certainly have a leak.
I’d ask what they did to fix the leak.
And it can’t hurt to ask them to “fix it again”.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not again dealerships or shops.
I have and will take my truck to a dealership to have it worked on.
I’m just always suspicious when “free”, or “no cos to me” is used.
Nothing is free. If I’m not paying for, it someone else is.
And unless someone else has a lot of money to give away, they are probably not going to give a lot of it away. AKA = short cuts are taken.

I must have missed that part.
If that’s the case, keep taking it back until it’s fixed.
And ask for paper work. Most work comes with a warranty.
Even if it’s just 1 year.

    Usually is.

I got very lucky when I bought my 2007 ford ranger with 55k miles for 13500$CAN about 12 years ago.

Sold it for 8500$CAN about 5 years ago with 165k miles. Replaced starter, 2 thermostat housings and TB. Otherwise just regular maintenance. Was an awesome machine, never let me down.

The gas mileage was pretty terrible though. Once I installed pro comp steel wheels and 265/75/16 E load duratracs, it was getting 13-14 MPGs. Stock was about 16 if you drive it nice. In comparison my taco easily gets 17-18 with a lift, 33” E rated pizza cutters, and about 650# of extra weight. Love it.

Not everyone has the means to buy new, especially in todays climate.

OP - is it a CPO with warranty? I’d take it back, be nice, and see what they say about take 2. Looks like it could be a rear main and or something else.
And can you post another shot of the leak zoomed out? We looking at the oil pan between the engine and trans?

A small leak can turn into a big leak pretty quick. Stop normalizing low milage oil leaks. It shouldn't be happening.

So what are the thoughts on the fluid that almost has a reddish tint. There is some on the pan bolts. Still no discernable smell or taste

A non-leak can become a small leak. Should I worry about those too? My point was that a small oil leak is a minor issue compared to throwing a rod or other catastrophe. I might have a different perspective than some because I’ve owned many jalopies that leaked oil like a sieve. Nothing a piece cardboard on the garage floor can’t remedy.

People can always lower their expectation on what type of vehicle you want. Or save up, or make better financial decisions……

For me, I've bought more new than used. I'm well aware that I've overspent on "new vs used" over the years but the peace of mind of not having to rush cars into the shop to be repaired, figure out transportation while it gets fixed, the awful feeling of being ripped off by a mechanic potentially if you don't fully understand the repair has been well worth the money IMO. (Did I mention the back and forth non-sense that so many people go through of its fixed, go home, not fixed, take it back, its fixed, go home, not fixed)...I don't have the temperament for that non-sense. I'd turn into male Karen real quick.
