Well.. some of you know this already if you are on facebook, but if you don't... my wife and I had to put our Rottweiler (Zena) down last week due to a possible kidney failure.. It was a sad day in the Conrad family as she has been a part of ours for almost 10 years! She was one of the best dogs, good with everyone and loved kids! She will truly be missed!

So, it is odd having a house that you are use to having pets in all of a sudden go empty and quiet (well as quiet as you can have a house with a 6yr old). So, with no dog in the house to keep the "Crazy" going on.. things were just not normal! Well, I thought I would look online for a rottie. I found a breeder out east of Newark Ohio and they had a few male pups left. Last Sunday we drove out to see them and we instantly fell in love with one of them and Justin already wanted to name him Tucker. We put a deposit down on a little puppy and we will pick him up at the end of the month!

Here is a pic of Zena a month ago.. RIP little girl! :(

And here is Tucker.. a German Rottweiler puppy! :)

Depending on when you want to do it, I might be able to help. Me and my buddy did mine in about 3 hours. The first side took about 2 hours b/c neither of us had done it before. The second side took about an hour. The hardest part is getting the AAL compressed enough to put the center bolt in. I know there is a few people on here that just bought the same thing, maybe we can get a few people together and do them all at once....

Once again, I am sorry for your lose. It just seem to happen so quick. Your FB post said you were going to the vet, then a few hours later RIP Zena. It wasn't that long ago you posted pics of her in the snow. I had to put one of my pups down at the end of last year and it sucks. You did the right thing in not making her suffer or be in pain.

Hope all goes well with Tucker. He is a good looking pup!

That's terrible. I am so sorry for you loss. Animals, particularly dogs, have a special place in the lives of people, and when they pass, it is nearly unbearable. Congrats on your new pup!

Since you asked, I would say yes the price is a little too high. But today after looking online I saw Tacomas for sale that I saw last summer for sale. So maybe people aren't buying trucks right now b/c of gas prices. I dunno, GL.

I've had a shit ton of calls and emails for mine.. I know it is priced too high.. But, there are 3 or 4 others (2 of them are just like mine with 33's) and they are all asking $13900 or more with around the same miles as mine.. I thought I would price it a bit high, but not a high as the other guys with the same truck. I guess it's working and a few people said they would like to get it, but need to save up a little bit more.
Like I said, if it sells, it sells.. If not, then I'll keep it and try and get a beater to drive also

Sorry 'bout your "big sweetie", looks like a healthy new "little sweetie" has helped put your home back to feeling a bit more normal with a pup around. Rotties are great.

SO sorry to hear about your Zena. I feel your pain - lost my baby three weeks ago, 1 month and 1 day before she turned 11. I still have Annie, but there is still a big hole - they have completely different personalities.

I LOVE your new pup. I'm debating between a choc lab and a rottie. I've wanted a rottie for a LONG time. :goingcrazy:

Good luck with your new baby

That's funny that you would say chol lab.. We use to own one but we had to put him down a few years ago due to old age.. My wife wanted another chol lab, but I wanted another Rottie. So, I found a rott before the lab and just went with that breed again!! They are both good dogs, and my wife asked if we can get two puppies.. The rott and a chol lab, but I can't handle two puppies and a 6 yr old!!

Here is a pic of him with his sister a long time ago..

Great pic of the three of you... Maybe get an older choc lab so you don't have two pups at the same time...

Ollie was a yellow lab, Annie is a black lab mix, so choc lab is next, right? Think Annie is part rot (a couple of her siblings looked like rotties as pups and she has very light rot coloring on her legs) Not sure yet which I'm gonna get - like you, probably which ever I find first.
