After reading shit like this, i wonder why anyone has trusted modern banks. Like imagine this happening with any other asset.... You put your car in a storage garage somewhere and they pay you to keep it. All the while they say it will be there whenever you want to take it out but it isn't, or it takes four weeks on their end for it to be there. And randomly one day you get an email like that saying "your car is fine trust me bro". Nobody would put up with that shit in any other case but when it's putting money in a bank everyone loves it

Point being the response is not "Your money is safe with us", the response (using your analogy) is "If your car is missing one day, your insurance company will take care of it for you"

Yeah but is the car safe?
