Thanks. When I heard the plans of the guy in the middle car (first one hit), I was a bit jealous that I quit drinking. He was going to walk home, stop at the bar, and then lay down on the couch.

First day of work at new job is tomorrow. Hopefully the Tylenol/ibuprofen gets me through it.

 

At least it wasn’t the Tacoma? I feel like I probably could have stopped faster and avoided the wall and maybe only had some quarter panel and front wheel damage with the giant brakes… oh well.

 

Anybody have their truck stolen recently? This listing looks suspicious.

Definitely not a 2002, and all sorts of parts that are worth mentioning but aren't mentioned.

Anyone have a recommendation on a transmission shop in SOCO? Possibly further north if reputable. Preferably with extensive experience with A340s. Trans is already pulled if that matters much.

Thanks! I was planning on staying with an ATRA associated shop but figured id ask for input/first hand experience.

 

I don’t have any recommendations for locally, but I had my A340f rebuilt by an ATRA shop and it was still doing great when I sold the truck a few years ago.

 

Good to hear. Bought a 2001 DC out of Utah, drove it all the ay back home here to Pueblo perfectly fine. Drove it for a week and then it decided to unalive itself on my way to work last Tuesday. At least i was only a mile from the house haha.

Seems odd no air bag deployment. Has me wondering exactly how much force is required to activate the air bags.

 

That is my old truck, the person selling it is related to the kid who purchased it from me.

I was going to put a 2k offer on it.

Yeah. It was a good little crossover. I hope it gets a second life with a salvage title.

I’m feeling much better today except for my leg. I think I strained my calf muscle stomping on the brake and then my leg hit the transmission tunnel because I found some more cuts on my right foot.

I was only going about 20 when hit and then I stomped on the brakes as we all were one giant mass going into the wall. The middle car had all airbags deployed, so I think they took most of the hit from the other Rav before they both hit me.

The drive to work today sucked. I’m paranoid that everyone drifting out of their lane not paying attention is going to hit me. And I’m looking both ways 3x before going from a stop.

 

Not really, it was a short ownership period so I didn't get too attached.

 

You didn't have the supercharger on it when you owned it right? Miss seeing that thing cruise on down to Groove on the morning commutes.
