That was my first mod, debadging by the dealer. I requested it debadged when I showed to pick it up, he agreed to do it. Upon delivery it was not debadged so I walked…

I just measured my prop rods and they are right at 5/16” diameter. UnderCover doesn’t sell the holders separately, or at least that I could find. There wasn’t any sort of part number labeling on the packaging when they sent them out to me unfortunately.

I have the Carabc CarPlay module on my truck and I've set my system to use wired CarPlay. When I first installed it I ran a USB extension cable from the unit out the passenger footwell, ran it under the console and up to the cupholder where I have my Cupfone phone mount. The first day I drove home from work I could hear the cable tap against the console and the noise drove me bonkers.

I bought this USB panel mount and removed the Qi switch as I have never used the charger and ran the USB input from the CarPlay unit to the switch. It gives me a much more OEM appearance. The switch itself reminds you it's a $9.99 shipped piece every time you use it as it's not exactly tight in the dash, but it works and it fits, so that's what I want. Ultimately I might try and find a USB plug to put in there when I'm not plugged in. Please ignore the dust and dirt, it's been a busy winter.

I'm still dialing in the unit, but I'm definitely closer. I really need to get off my *** and get my soundproofing project moving. Looking at these photos reminds me I also need to sort out my CB radio and get it powered back up and my antenna cabling routed. I've got a Wilson Lil Wil that I can mount on the roof if need be, so I figure I'll store it with enough slack in the rear cubby and run it out the slider if need be.

    Have a little story.
So I bought the BX80 from Pelican, as well as the Tacoma mounting kit.
I really like this system. I'm able to put medical stuff, jumper cables etc in the box and have it secure in the back of the truck.
As I was installing the mounting system, one of the bolts broke. I emailed Pelican a few times with no reply.
I then called, and eventually got to the right person after explaining a few times what happened.
As I was tightening down one of the bolts, the head snapped off one of them. it was a M5x16 screw.
I asked them if they could please send me a replacement screw, and I'll gladly pay for the new screw and shipping.
Next thing I know I see a shipment for an entire new mounting system being sent to me.
Once you're able to talk to someone, their customer service is great. Highly recommend the Pelican case lineup.

Nothing wrong with the "not Toyota" branded shift knobs. Those are the ones I use for my illumination mod.

nice. In my opinion that’s what sets this camera apart for the price point, I don’t think any other dashcam lets use monitor your car when you’re away.
    How was the install?

    Install is super easy.

You set the camera on the dash and plug it into the OBD2 port with the cable draped over the dash for setup. I was able to tuck the cable along the dash towards the driver side A-pillar. I have the KTJO grab handle, so I didn’t want to deal with removing that and I didn’t have to. The hardest part is centering it on the dash, although there is a section between the vents that is exactly the right size, it is hard to see where it is from inside the cab. The first time I installed it, it was a little off. I put an iPad on my hood and turned on the front camera so I could see where I was placing it the second time.

Nice. I got a Garmin Tandem and am not too sure about the quality. Do you "have" to have a subscription or will it allow "X" amount of storage before it rewrites?

Thats good to hear. Reading that I see you are using jumper cables. I recommend you look into jump boxes. They are so convenient and safer. Long gone are the days of trying to figure out how to get your car in the right position while people are flying by you at 70 mph or mistakenly crossing the cables, or a vehicle stuck on the trails because the battery died. This has worked so good for me, many jumps, holds a charge, I check the charge every 4 months or so. Has been flawless. Its also less intimating for the kids especially when they are learning how to drive.

    This is what I have. GB50-- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MVY7K43

there are many different sizes and brands.
