The 6" is a higher amp so slightly larger body .... but thats why i buy rat tail (trigger) and not paddle or slide switches. Smaller grip. I also use them with the side handle whenever possible. Grabbing the barrel all day is tough on the hand, wrists, and forearms.

You win. Black over orange is not my favorite either.

Got some time Thurs and Fri to paint several of the Harley signs. I ended up making one for all three guys I know who have them, and one extra for me.

This one is Chestnut over black. My overall favorite so far:

Chestnut over orange(just a trial, not keeping it this way):

    Traditional black over orange

Chestnut over camo. I like it:

Even juiced one with some LED strips.

I painted this one too using that Chestnut (my new favorite color), but my taping skills suck, so I gotta do-over in the works. See LH area of Indians headdress. Dammit :annoyed:

Customer dropped off his 1st gen Taco this weekend for a decent amount of work.

    1. Coastal Offroad front bumper with winch install
    2. coastal offroad high clearance rear
    3. Coastal offroad swingout tire carrier
    4. Trail gear rear frame plates and shock relocation
    5. Catback exhaust installation
    6. Hydro bump stops install
    7. Couple other smaller things

Started off today working on the front bumper. I really like how the bumpers fit together

It seems like Coastal produces some awesome stuff. Their rear bumper has been on my list a while now.

I have this same front bumper and love it - first real welding project. Going back and forth between building my own rear or buying their plates and putting it together. Great stuff!

finished my fence project over the weekend - welded the posts / runners / top cap and drilled way too many 1x2 fence posts into the runners.
    upload_2023-3-21_9-33-57.jpg

overkill on the welds but great practice ...

I agree man! This is my first exposure to any of their products but I’m pretty damn impressed with the fitment and quality.

Yeah man. It’s a great bumper! Whatever you decide to do for the rear, make sure you post your progress here.

Kick ass job on the fence! Looks awesome!!

I didn't know this was for a first gen. Their rear with side hoops is :drool::drool:

Haven't welded anything in awhile, and since I just got a new welder I figured I'd use it finally and make a cart.

When my handle bar grips arrived, I started right away.

Cut a bunch of pieces out from 12 gauge for the top plate, bottom plate, rear tank brace, and tank base.

Also cut misc. tube for various things as well as some plates for the casters.

    20230323_132532.jpg

I miss using a welder that can use a 300 amp torch; for being an inverter based machine this thing runs like a transformer based welder.

At a later point, I'll be adding onto that bar on the side to act as a torch holder and ground cable holder.

    For sure!

Overwelded this thing just to run the machine non-stop as much as I could.

The freaking welder is a good 11" x 25", so a lot of machines fall into that width but only the biggest carts would fit a two foot long length. It was either make my own, or spend over $250 for one that'll work.

I have spoiled myself for sure!

Check out the plates just for the casters -

    20230323_131103.jpg

And I don't know how but for 2 weeks now, everything I cut is without dross and literally ready to weld right off the table.

Didn't have any bolts to put this back together after a new bearing installed.

I don't think I'll ever rebuild one of these again using nuts and bolts.
