I looked into he poly one but seems like a pain if you have a short bed. works perfectly with the long bed.

Its pretty easy to swap the carrier so ended up doing that.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
Just curious if this is common when boosted. I was not bouncing the rev limiter or doing 4 wheel burnouts, just getting on the HWY.

Yeah, boost isn't the problem. It's the 40" super swamper wheels and tires that these guys are throwing on their junks that's making their rear ends turn to junk.:boink:

yep time for a new rear end. Its only time until it blows again. Since I re-geared I am on my 3rd differential and will be getting a new rear end. Ford 9 or Tundra 10.5

Does anybody have a ballpark idea of how much gains there would be with supercharger porting with relatively small pulleys?

I have heard up to 50hp but forgot where I saw that. I was considering porting the S/C next time I have to pull it.

The Tundra 10.5 is attractive. Not sure if I'm up for that kind of project. Better keep an eye on it though.

I looked at it but the stock axles. I’m going to beef them up to 35 spline plus going to get it a tad wider to match the LT

Shock loads from abrupt accelerations, leverage on smaller pinion gear(especially with larger tires), manufactured strength of gears...etc. I blew out my OEM 3.73 set one day, gently accelerating from a stop light. After years of being on 35's, off-roading, a few drag race sessions, and various burnouts.

I never thought it would happen to me!

First time I've ever had to get towed since I bought it in 2010. NGL I'm a little miffed that the streak is over. Thankful it didn't happen on the road trip I'd returned from literally 15 minutes earlier - hadn't even gotten home yet.

Yes as far as I understand it!

Also, @12TRDTacoma I am looking at the SC Online website - I can't see these stud replacements for sale (part number M-71-76-10-134 per Page 1). Does you or anyone have another source for these?

Booo.. I was one of the few that just went through this. I'll dig up what I found/ordered...

EDIT: I contacted them about ordering just the S/C idler studs.. and they got back to me with part numbers and price for just those. I would email them and just ask. I ended up replacing the entire tensioner assembly when mine snapped, and that came with a new bolt.

What was damaged when yours snapped? The crank pulley supported the idler so things didn't completely come apart - and somehow miraculously my belts didn't snap. But I need a new crank pulley and idler. I ordered NST for the crank pulley so that's exciting.
