    The dream is delivered.
Anyone else see the new sram axle mount derailleur and stealth brakes?

Yeah that rainy Friday messed our weekend up, we didn't make it to the top. It's a pretty sweet park though, goign to make it tough to choose a place in the future. We will probably still make our way to NC, just with the riding and hiking/other outdoor stuff to do.

When is your next trip to NC? I'll be over there the first weekend of April.

    Yeah.
I did now. That derailleur is cool, and I like the Magic Wheel.

For some reason I really wanted to dislike the new AXS stuff….I don’t though.

I didn't dive into X01 or AXS till I found it at or around 50% off, and I refuse to try this new stuff until that's the case.
I do love the no limit and b-set screws. Talk about easy breezy installation.

I've got 1 unused X01 Chain and 1 unused X01 Cassette. I'm in the current gen for a while.

This, and only this, are what makes the new new sexy to me.

No way in hell will I be paying those prices either. While I am running current/previous gen AXS on my bike, I still much prefer the feel and performance of mechanical shifting.

Reading through the article, it mentioned the derailleur making contact with the cassette, but I didnt see any pictures of it actually touching on pinkbike. I'll have to watch the 1000 mile review.

Also, those chainring bash guards look interesting. I suspect I bang my chainring right at the end of the coverage though.

I think it’s dumb the chain and mech won’t work unless you run new chainring and cassette. That would make it an easier swap as well. Black Friday is 8 months away for the hype to die down and sales to happen.

Who would've guessed everywhere has it in stock and I imagine no risk of selling out. XX-SL, remember XX1 AXS when released was 2000 also.

After reading how it ties together I'd have no worries of running it on a bike and getting ride of the hanger. The whole system being mounted on the rear axle I think is pretty genius. As someone pointed out, if your bike can stand the abuse of badly landing a whip or the forces applied on the axle from turning the derailleur being mounted there should be fine.

Alright guys, I’m doing an enduro race this weekend. I’m going to be a bit under biked with the Ripley but think I’ll be fine.

I’m deciding between DH dissector or exo+ DHR. Both maxxgrip. Both 29x2.40.

I’m leaning towards dhr for more grip but haven’t ridden either yet. I’ll probably get one, maybe 2 rides in on them before the race

    what do you all think?

Got my OneUp bars on. Feels pretty good. So I guess that is that. Thanks again for the input. My buddy is going to try my old Renthals on his Canyon and if he likes them, I'm planning on selling to him.

DHR for an enduro race would be my thinking. Dissector would be nice if the climbing between stages was timed, but if I’m not mistaken it typically isn’t.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking, my only rationale for going with the dissector is the DH casing. Which surprisingly on the dissector is about the same weight as the exo+ dhr.

the race is only 4 stages and looks my usual speed minus a couple sections that have decent sized rock gardens that I’ll probably have to take fairly slow anyways. We will see haha

It's nice (and very pretty) stuff! I've only gotten to toy with it a bit so far, and hopefully will get a chance to ride a group before too long. I'm going to wait until after BCBR this year to think about swapping out my XTR kit.

I did this same order. I've heard good things about these and the deal was right for sure!

Started looking around and was reading some comments on post mount adapters. Evidently the Sram/Shimano adapters won't work and you need the Hayes?

    @whitedlite Was that your experience?

I'll have to look what adaptors I'm using on the rear, I have a zeb on the front with no adaptor.
