Has anyone seen this? It seems insane that this is even a possibility!

 

I don’t like that channel or very many channels associated with them really.

Honestly if a channel uses thumbnail photo closeups of someone’s face with their mouth open with clickbait titles it’s probably not something I’ll enjoy. There are rare exceptions.

 

I’m not the biggest fan of the channel but this video had an important message about plans to develop large areas outside Moab which would close many iconic trails.

They were well wrapped up in waders up above the waist. They were the only floaters I saw last weekend. It's supposed to be raining Friday night. Next weekend will start off slow I suspect.

Damn, that looks great. Such a stout coupe design. Feel like if I were you and looked at those top two shots enough, I'd be hunting another one haha.

 

Maybe they were fishing. Paddling any whitewater in cold water is an express trip to hypothermia


I’m feeling the outdoors itch pretty bad this week. They grey sky and rain are definitely damping it a bit tho.

 

I keep my eyes out but the models with the DCT are stupid rare and this one was also an M sport so it had the thicker sway bars, six piston front brakes, sport seats and trim, and the bumpers. I think it would be hard to match again, especially the red interior... I'll buy something eventually though. Totally a worthwhile car if you can find one, way more nimble than a three series and still plenty roomy and comfortable and the engine bay is just as easy to work in.

 

That sounds like a great setup, and yeah, hard to replicate easily. Bet the DCT was a blast.

 

Yeah the DCT honestly really made that car, traditional autos from the same time period are fucking slow as shit in comparison. I'm sure I've posted this but like this thing sounded good and listen to the shift speed, it's just instantaneous... it will ignition cut and shift in the blink of an eye. I had it set to 8ms shift speed (same DCT used in the M3 up to 2020).

Let me preface this with saying most small engine manufacturers usually have a consumer line, a prosumer line, and a commercial line of engines. Honda only has consumer and commercial.... and now alot of the other guys (kohler and briggs&stratton) are dropping that mid tier line up, or dropping the bottom tier and only going with 2 lines.

GC engines are Honda's consumer line, so they're nowhere near as robust as the GX series. Biggest difference to note is the timing, GC engines have the camshaft right on top and its connected to the crank with an actual timing belt while the GX series has the cam driven by the crank with an actual gear mesh.

However that being said, their GC line compares to the old prosumer lines of their competitors. For something like a pressure washer coupled with how I know you treat equipment, I wouldn't hesitate to go with a GC version. In all honesty the pump is where the real money differences are with pressure washers and anything mated to a GC is gunna quit long before the engine does lol

 

Just got out of kohler class and I gotta say I'm kinda disappointed. I have to take it so we're "equipped with an authorized technician to do warranty work in house" but they're not teaching anything new, at least not new for me. What I think is worse, is that we're not learning any failure analysis.. hell we're barely even doing engine teardown. Today was going over their common fail points (carbs getting gummed up and batteries not charging) and tomorrow is how to properly fill out their warranty documents online and pulling a head off lol. Thursday is what I'm actually here for tho, that is supposed to be an indepth exploration of their EFI set up and diagnosis

Seems the shops the other employees belong to just want to have a check in the box for one more thing they can do/offer.

Common in the industry.

We only had 3 guys that were level...4 or 5 whatever it is, that can work on SRT vehicles IE Viper, Hellcat variants, and the Trackhawk.

The training though was legit cause they got to go do the actual SRT drive experience as well. The techs though were already long experienced so like you, the "certification" was sort of pointless to an extent.
