I see consistently high average MPGs from my diesel stupid duty, than I do from the Tacoma.

I mean, I have the steel front bumper, sliders, skids, roof rack, solid tonneau and bed rack. With my stock tires and wheels I get like 16 at most. With the STT Pros it drops a lot. If anything it might be the fact that I have the tune so it gets pretty aggressive. I do typically sit a little higher than you for speed.
    Diesel makes sense to me.

I can still pull 15-16 if I behave, but I like to drive....spiritedly, so :anonymous: I'll cruise wherever the truck feels happiest, if it's flat enough she'll do 80 at +-2k rpm bc of stock gearing and the 35s and my tune. Which reminds me I gotta reflash the more aggressive throttle map soon, feels better with the weight now

I might need your help with that stuff at some point if possible. Gotta get myself updated out of the old tune.

I drive the truck like a truck :notsure:

THAT'S why I was looking at a WRX. No chance for it to be a fuel-efficient daily, thing's meant to be fun. But with how the truck is set up, I might just keep that and get something for the road instead. My old Mazda 3 comes to mind.... should have never traded it in :(

I do a pretty good 18-20 on most drives (going 70), except for when I have the 2 kayaks on top and then it goes to like 14-15

Best I ever got on the 35s and 5.29s was 20mpg on a 250mi trip back from Maine. I've lately been getting 15-17mpg on the highway, but been having rich issues and other driveability issues

unless a bug gets stuck to the windshield, then it drops to 14. Seriously, i have never had a vehicle mpg drop if you look at it wrong. it doesnt take much to change it.

Oh, I never said I could AFFORD it.

The way I see it, riding the bicycle to work saves me 0.2 gallons a day, if gas is at 3$/gallon, and a WRX is 30k, that's just 192 years of riding my bike to and from work and I've saved enough gas to buy a WRX.
